Margiotta Business Administrator/Board Secretary [email protected] [email protected] Type to enter text May 1, 2016 Dear Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Directors/Supervisors of Curriculum, Principals, and Directors of Special Education/CST: The Burlington County Professional Development Institute (BCPDI) has enjoyed a successful inaugural year with over 420 staff from 36 school districts participating in 14 workshops. Workshop topics addressed key issues such as Classroom Management, Next Generation Science Standards, Google EDU, Inclusive Schools, Collaborative Decision Making, Differentiating Instruction, Effective Teaching Strategies in Mathematics, Dyslexia, Student Motivation and Engagement, Autism, and Special Education Law. The BCPDI Advisory Committee, comprised of representatives from participating districts, met throughout the 20152016 school year to share ideas, analyze participant feedback and identify topics for future workshops. Their input was invaluable and the committee will continue to ensure that the needs of participating districts are reflected in our workshop offerings. In 2016-2017, the BCPDI is excited to offer your district the opportunity to participate in timely and transferable professional development workshops for your staff and administrators. In addition, a New Teacher Institute designed to offer workshops that support and guide new and non-tenured teachers will be offered. Listed below are some of the workshop topics being offered for 2016-2017. The participation fee for 2016-2017 will remain the same as this year ($1.35 per student based on a district’s October 2015 ASSA resident student count). As a participating district, your staff and administrators will be entitled to all workshops offered by the BCPDI for the 2016-2017 school year at no additional cost. In addition, you will receive minutes from each Advisory Committee meeting and have a voice in the selection of topics for future workshops. If you would like to participate in the BCPDI for the 2016-2017 school year, please click here to complete the online registration form by July 1, 2016. You will receive an invoice on or before September 30, 2016.
