July 2017 Dear Local Resident, As you are probably aware, for the fourth year running we are holding a family friendly, 80’s popular music festival on Southampton Common on Saturday 8th July. This will be taking place on the area known as “The Flats”. It promises to be a fun and friendly event, for all age groups and families to enjoy, and we really hope it will be a great weekend for both locals and those visiting Southampton. We would like to take this opportunity to re-assure you that we will again be working with the local Environmental Health department, along with the Police and Licensing Authority, to ensure that the event causes minimal disturbance to local residents. We are committed to making sure that the event is well managed and a success - we have a lot of experience in organising family friendly events like Lets Rock Southampton. To keep you updated with our plans, we will be working onsite from Sunday 2nd - Wednesday 12th July from 8am until 10pm, with no noise after 8pm. As with previous years, there will be temporary parking restrictions along Northlands Road & Cemetery Road. Sound checks are scheduled to take place on Friday 7th July from 3:30 - 5:30pm. Music on the day of the event will be from 10.30am when the gates open (live music from midday) until 10:30pm. Noise Monitoring is taking place both on and off site and at the nearest affected properties. In case of any genuine complaints on Saturday 8th July, the Let’s Rock Southampton Operation Centre will be on 07391 538604 (from 10am until 11pm). All complaints will be handled personally by our own staff. For general enquiries before the event, please email: [email protected]. Best wishes, The Lets Rock Team
