Air Defence and Airport communications engineer with 21 years of leadership experience in Indian Air
Force and Defence Research and Development Organisation. Have undertaken various engineering roles at
different levels towards maintenance management of critical defence systems. Delivered timely results under
trying conditions and severe resource constraints. Handled diverse teams in different geographical locations
for different projects simultaneously.
Seeking to leverage my experience in team building and lead role at varied tasks in a dynamically

PROJECT & TECHONOLOGY MANAGEMENT
 Led the first batch of 16 Air Force personnel to PGAD, Hyderabad (DRDO) during the conceptualization, design,
development and field trials of prototype ruggedisation of Mobile Communication Terminal.
 Provided valuable inputs towards the design and development of MCT. The feedback provided from
service/maintenance view point have been incorporated in the project costing Rs 52 Cr.
 Participated twice in the International event: Aero-India, Bangalore (2005 & 07) as part of DRDO contingent.
Wherein the MCT was on deployed along with suitcase version for sat-com for the radar picture data to control
air traffic during aerobatics.
 Set up mini-MCT at Pokhran and Mahajan field firing ranges during IAF exercises | 2014-16
 Installed Standard Vertex, personal communicator system (PCS) for security in the station, at a very short notice
after attack at Air Force station Pathankot | 2016
 Extended the range of Motorola PCS handsets from base to military hospital (11 Km) by installation of a repeater
antenna | 2016
 Installation of an Airtel Tower at domestic area of Air Force Base- Cell on Wheels (COW) | 2015
 Single point of contact at station level for clearance of SACFA application and permission of frequency for a
Community Radio Station. Liaison with HQ and WPC (DoT) for onward submission of application.
 Frequency spectrum management in a flying air base for communication with aircraft. Frequency band includes
MF, HF, VHF & UHF in respect of various comn equipment and radars (surveillance & tracking)
 Worked in AFCEL domain, working on W-CDMA technology is exclusive to IAF. It owns the handsets, numbering
scheme, allocation of frequency and towers installed inside the cantonment area.
 The planning and clearance of underground cable laying, expertise of joining cable (OFC/Co-axial) and cable fault
locator during fault location is directly under my purview, SE (L) | 2014-16
 Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of vital communication equipment e.g., AFNET, Defence
Communication Network, Network for Spectrum along with ground-to-air communication | 2014-16
 As a Senior Engg, am the lead stake holder for Modernization of Air Field Infrastructure (MAFI) project (Rs 42
Cr) executed through M/s Tata Power SED along with the Runway infrastructure upgradation (Rs 250 Cr).
 Handled the infrastructure and induction requirements of a new generation missile system at four locations by
effective liaison with the OEM in Israel. Team member to M/s Rafael, Israel in 2014.

 As Commanding Officer and a senior Technical Officer, effectively administered 04 Engg Officers and 62
Technicians to take care to the vital airfield communication assets which operate 24X7 | 2014-16

 Formulating the policy on induction, infrastructure, training and Human Resource management of two Air

 Demonstrated a cost effective methodology by fabricating a prototype of missile responder link with radar.
 Developed a working model to check the electrical systems of Russian trailers/Cabin.
 Applauded for the conception and setup of a museum/training lab of the USSR missile system.
 Successfully implemented a workable solution to the vintage Air Field Lighting system.
 Developed a modification for charging batteries of portable comn sets using the solar panel from salvage.

 Adopted a procedure for recharging of missile air-bottle, which was adopted by other missile units.
