Phase 1 (6 weeks)
core strengthening, developing explosiveness, and just becoming better overall athletes...... this is
probably the most crucial phase of the program..... players must develop their bodies in specific areas
and ways that will allow them to perform baseball skills at a high level.....pitching, hitting, throwing,
fielding, and base running mechanics break down a lot of times due to a lack of core strength.....most
important aspect of the game….. 2 days athletic development/ 2 days skill work per week
Phase 2 (6 weeks)
moderate strength training combined with explosive movements......“moderate” for a reason.... we want
to gain strength, but it is not our main focus....we want to develop the ability to be an explosive baseball
player.....explosive muscle contractions generate arm speed, bat speed, foot speed, and helps in getting
good jumps on the ball off of the bat.....we will also incorporate a throwing program for fielders, bullpens
and throwing program for pitchers, and begin swinging the bats......short hops and ground ball work will
be implemented in various ways throughout the entire program…..2 days development/ 2 days skills
Phase 3 (6 weeks)
will build upon what has been established in the first two phases......we will continue to develop our
athletic ability along with an increase in the intensity of baseball skills …… 2 days development / 2 days
skills

maintenance program to make sure we keep what we have worked so hard to gain physically…..pitchers
and catchers will start a preseason program......hitters and fielders will work proper fundamentals along
with understanding and handling situations properly …… 2 days development/ 2 days skills
