It’s time to Saddle Up for the PIE of Your Life! at the Society of Government Meeting
Professionals Partners in Education Conference featuring the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter
North Texas Chapter, Texas Lone Star Capital Chapter, Wild West Chapter and San Antonio
Alamo Chapter! The 2014 conference will be March 7-9, 2014 at Hilton Westchase in
Houston, Texas.
Again this year, we will hold a silent auction as well as sell Raffle tickets. In addition to this we’re
planning a special Raffle of a “Gift Card Tree” to be created with the help of the entire
membership of Region V and raffled off on Sunday at the end of the conference. These
activities help support the conference activities, which include providing continuing education
and scholarships to the SGMP National Conference. We are asking for your help in making the
auction and raffle successful.
Please use your imagination to create really spectacular packages to donate for the Auction and
the Raffle. Here are some suggestions:
 $10-$50 gift cards for the “Tree” Raffle
 Hotel stays
 Restaurant coupons
 Personal crafts
 Gift baskets (chocoholic; pets; kitchen – be creative!)
 Bottles of wine
 Artwork – paintings/drawings/photos
 Handmade Jewelry
 Other Accessories – purses, scarves, pashimas
This is a great opportunity for you to show your support for SGMP and to promote your facility,
city, or talent. As a contributor to the conference, you will be acknowledged during the
conference, printed in the conference literature, and will be announced when your donation is
given away. For all certificates, please make the expiration date at least one year from the last
day of the conference.
Complete and return the attached form indicating your donation by February 25, 2014.
Certificate(s) and/or coupons can be sent at that time or any time prior to February 25, 2014

Please bring baskets, books, etc. to the conference with you or shipping instructions to the Host
hotel will be provided upon request.
