Activated Carbon for Friction Materials

Activated Carbon for Friction Materials
Activated Carbon is another carbon used in today’s friction formulations. This Carbon has unique
properties such as adsorption, hardness and high surface area. Activated Carbons are added when
porosity is needed for sound damping or pedal feel, where well developed pore structure for odor
and smoke adsorption is required and to provide open pores that allow effective flow of viscous
fluids. Asbury can size any of our activated carbons to meet your needs.
