Board-certified Criticalist, Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic, Hong Kong
Peace Avenue Veterinary Clinic (PAVC) operates in Hong Kong, China and is seeking
Board-certified Criticalist to supplement our existing team of well qualified surgeons for an
expansion of clinic activities.
Our current staff includes four specialists and 20 other veterinarians. PAVC is conducting 2
American board certified residency program in the last year of its running.
The clinic is equipped with the state of the art diagnostic, monitoring and surgical equipment such as
CT scan, MRI, digital x-ray machine, C-arm Fluoroscopy, Vivid E9, Logig E9 Ultrasound Machine,
IDEXX system including istat, gas analyzer, procyte and biochemistry unit, Olympus endoscopy,
Kyon TTA and THR, Biometric universal THR system, Synthes TPLO system and equipment,
Linvatec Arthroscopy System, Force Triad surgery unit, Alcon Infiniti and AMO Signature
Phacoemulsification Unit, Zeiss OPMI Visu 150 Special operating microscope and many others.
The clinic is a first opinion operator in the local veterinary profession and also serves as a referral
centre for the local area. Last year the clinic performed over 150 phacoemulsification surgery, over
100 A cell, conjunctival pedicle graft, or corneoscleral transposition graft, over 300 ventral slot and
intervertebral/fenestration surgery, 420 orthopaedic surgery including TTA, TPLO, THR and 50
oncological surgery. The clinic also provides professional opinions and advices to the Hong Kong
Jockey Club, Ocean Park, Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden.
Hong Kong is a metropolis with a population over 7 million. Despite its dense urban environment,
more than 70% of Hong Kong's total area is rural, including about 40% designated as protected
country parks and nature reserves.
Interested candidates should possess strong communication skills and have energetic attitude,
empathy, compassion and enthusiasm. Travel expenses for an interview will be provided by PAVC.
