2. Planning for 2014 Region 6 Meeting in Denver, CO
a. Dates are April 4-6 we have hotel and flights booked
b. Applied for $1,000 credit from PMI and accepted.
3. GOC Webinars for Chapter Board Members
a. Encourage all Board Members (current and in transition) to attend GOC webinars.
These webinars should be a permanent feature of future Board Member transition plans
(http://leadership.vc.pmi.org/Webinars.aspx).
4. Chapter Re-chartering Process
a. We have completed the process, but it uncovered a lot of work to update By-laws and
Articles. Will be working with Nina to update.
5. March meeting
a. Board Members- presentations everyone prepare a 5 min Project Management tip and
5 minute board member presentation?
b. Let’s set the agenda and post on the web
6. PMP Training Class
a. Need Volunteers to Train, Register, etc.
b. Need people to take flyers to their work and post on bulletin boards or contact at least 2
people.
c. Could someone create a letter to send out to prospective attendees?
7. Membership
a. We need to send out a new member welcome e-mail.

Thank you for volunteering to lead your chapters! We hope your new year has started
well. This is an introductory message from your PMI chapter support team, listed below,
who serves PMI chapters in region 6.
We are part of a larger network of tools, resources and services for chapters. We
encourage you to reach out to the PMI region 6 support team to work together to
manage and grow your chapter.

 Encourage networking and facilitate collaboration among chapter leadership
 Support chapter leadership in strategic, operational, and transition planning
 Provide advice, information and coaching to chapter leadership
 Lead the planning and implementation of annual LI Region 6 Meeting
 Provide advice, information and support to PMI staff

 Maintain ongoing partnerships with chapters to ensure their annual success

Component System (CS) contains:
- Current officer roster – Presidents enter officers/volunteers to receive weekly PMI
volunteer newsletter Friday Facts and chapter leadership targeted communications
- Chapter Reporting System (CRS) – Reports of membership data, demographics, and
survey results. Refer to the tutorial on the CRS help page.
- Current bylaws and charters on file
- Charter renewal documents

Community Leadership Site – All volunteers in CS have access to this online community to share,
discuss, and obtain resources. Obtain resources like PMI Chapter Policy Manual, chapter
statistics, templates, examples and forms.

Region 6 Community Leadership Site – Region 6-oriented site with news, discussions, examples,
and practices from chapters in the region only.

PMI Marketing Portal – PMI brand guidelines and marketing materials (flyers, presentations,
templates)

PMI Learn – Online professional and leadership courses including chapter board orientations
on governance and fiduciary responsibilities.PMI Learn also serves as a library for Leadership
Coastal Bend Chapter
Institute Meeting (LIM) presentations.

PMI Volunteer Relationship Management System (VRMS) – Available to chapters to recruit and
manage volunteer applicants

Chapter Guest Pass Program – Program that allows chapters to offer free chapter memberships
to those PMI members, in a chapter’s territory, who are not chapter members for the remainder
of their current membership term. If you take advantage of this program, PMI will reimburse up
to USD $500 over one year.

Chapter Web Services Provider (CWS) Program – PMI qualifies chapter website hosting providers
to provide integrated services with PMI.org, including Single Sign-On.

Communities of Practice – Leverage the knowledge, subject matter experts, and materials to
bring extra value to your PDU programs.
