ELEVENTH ANNUAL
SHOW OF CHAMPIONS
Valley County Fairgrounds – Ord, Nebraska
Saturday and Sunday, August 19 - 20, 2017
LIVESTOCK ELIGIBILITY: Exhibitors age 8-18
of Grand Champion animals from any eligible fair.
HORSE ELIGIBILITY: Any exhibitor 12 years or
older who earned the top placing in Western Pleasure,
Western Horsemanship, Reining, Poles, or Barrels at the
county fair, district or state horse show in their division can
compete in all five events. Scholarship will be awarded to
all-around exhibitor.

One draft per class unless numbers dictate divisions.
JUDGING: There will be multiple judges for each class
and a Champion and Reserve Champion will be determined
based on the combined numerical rank of the judges.
AWARDS: Minimum of $15,000 in cash scholarships
and awards to be given out during the show.
LOUP VALLEY LIVESTOCK CHALLENGE
2017 VERIFICATION FORM
SHOWMANSHIP: A winner in each specie except
horse.
DEADLINE: Friday, August 18, 2017
SALE ANIMALS: Animals that have been sold “for
premium only” are eligible. If change of ownership
occurred, the animal is not eligible.
REQUIRED FORMS: Brand inspected area; show
permit required for beef. Out of state exhibitors must
present a health certificate upon arrival.
SCHEDULE: Please check in two hours prior to show
time. Animals may arrive early if you desire. Call to inquire
about stall or pen availability. Performance horse classes
will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Goat, lamb, and swine
classes will show at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Beef will show
Sunday, beginning with feeder calves at 11 a.m.
ATTIRE: Exhibitors will be provided a shirt to be worn
with blue jeans.
FITTING: All cattle will be shown in a blow and go
show. Grooming compounds with adhesive quality will not
be allowed. Swine – water only. Sheep and goats – no
adhesives, must be shown dry. Bring your own bedding.
Generators welcome.
