What happens when your
done with your PPE?
Bunzl Greenham, working in partnership with leading
secure destruction specialists, provide a national
service for the secure destruction and recycling of all
types of PPE. This protects your brand and improves
your carbon footprint.

All materials can be collected from your premises
and taken to a secure facility where it is destroyed by
shredding, then used for Energy from Waste (EfW)
and converted to Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) to
generate power.

A Certificate of Destruction is issued along with
recycling weights and figures for each collection
ensuring you can prove that it is destroyed and
recycled.

Collect from your site and deliver back to our Branch

Once every two months we send the items to a processing plant in the Midlands
Everything is shredded until it is smaller than 20mm in size
All metal and wood is extracted for recycling
Remaining material is used as a Solid Recovered Fuel to fire a furnace

Collection Points
• We suggest a standard 240L Wheelie bin as the
weight of items when full is around 25kg which is a
manageable weight to manually handle.
• If required we can brand the outside of the bin
with “PPE RECYCLE POINT”, detailing a list of
the items that can be included.
• Notice inside lid to discourage “rubbish” being
deposited.
• We collect from anywhere in the UK, at any of
your sites, as and when the bin is full or the
project has come to an end.

• We use our own transport to get the PPE from your
sites. Our vans go back to branch virtually empty so
a great use of existing spare capacity.

Within the circular economy, the role of waste
management is to collect, treat and return
secondary resources and recovered energy back
into the cycle of production and consumption.
