Parkview High School Cheerleading
As Ambassadors to Parkview High School…Parkview Cheerleaders will represent EXCELLENCE on all levels of Spirit and
Competitive Cheerleading. As Cheer Advisors, Trainers and Coaches we will strive to instill honor, commitment and pride in our teams
and in each other. We will build a solid foundation by training skills; instilling trust and loyalty; and by promoting HARDWORK,
TEAMWORK and DEDICATION to the Parkview High School Cheer Program. We will work to be organized,
consistent and supportive to make this an exemplary cheer program and a
positive experience for all.

The Staff:
Mark Whitley -- Athletic Director of Parkview High School
Velma Moon – Varsity Competition and will also develop throughout the ENTIRE
Program Skills in Tumbling, Jumps, Conditioning, Strength and Flexibility,
Stunting, Pyramids, Choreography, Motions and Enhancement of Cheers, Chants and Cadences.
Kellye Hill - Varsity Football Spirit and day to day operations of the
Program. Will also help in all teaching of skills listed above.
Priscilla Sanders - JV Football/Competition and assist Coach Kellye in day to day
organization and operations. Will also help in all teaching of skills
listed above.
Bonnie Wetherington - 9th Grade Football. Will also help in all teaching
of skills listed above.
Sara Hyatt - Varsity Basketball. Will also help in all teaching of skills
listed above.
Kendra Bensch - JV Basketball. Will also help in all teaching of skills
listed above.
Jodi Chamberlain - 9th Grade Basketball. Will also help in all teaching of
skills listed above. Also the liaison between Parkview and Mountain Park
Park.

Tumble Pro Tryout Takeover @ Parkview!
Tryouts will be outsourced by Tumble Pros with the assistance of Parkview High School graduating Seniors!
Judges will be non-bias outsourced cheer professionals outside of the Parkview community. Please note
that Teacher Recommendations, Grades, and Coaches’ Recommendations still play an intricate part of
determining the BEST members of each team.
Parkview Tryouts: Monday, April 18th –Thursday, April 21st
Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm

What to wear:
All Tryout participants are to wear a plain white shirt with black/navy shorts. Hair must be pulled back away from
the face. NO jewelry or long nails allowed.

Results will be POSTED at School on Friday, April 22nd 5:00pm
Each Competitor will receive a Number at tryouts…
NUMBERS ONLY will be posted on the initial results Sheets.

Training Purpose: To Develop, Condition & Advance Skills/Technique
with all aspects of Spirit & Competitive Cheerleading with the intent to
develop a competitive cheer squad and overall strength and
cohesiveness of all cheerleaders within the Parkview Program.

Days of Training Practice:
 TUESDAYS (Starts Tuesday May 3rd)
 4:00pm-6:00pm @ The Fitness Center of Lilburn
*Note ALL cheerleaders must be dressed and stretched (“Ready to Go”) by 3:45pm.
Demerits will assessed appropriately for non-compliance

THURSDAYS (Starts Thursday, May 5th)
 4:00pm-6:00pm @ Parkview High School
*Note ALL cheerleaders must be dressed and stretched (“Ready to Go”) & Mats put out by
3:45pm. Demerits will assessed appropriately for non-compliance

Training Practice Details:
 Tuesdays:
 Tumbling Skill Building including Power, Standing, Running & Squad Tumbling
 Strength & Flexibility Conditioning
 Jump Conditioning & Sequences
 Motion Conditioning
 Thursdays
 Jump & Motion Correction & Conditioning
 Sideline Stunting: Partner & Pyramids
 Pep Rally Routine/Cheers/Chants/Cadences Enhancement Choreography

3-Month 2-Day Training Fee: $150.00 per cheerleader (Equals to $50.00 per month)
 Deposit Due by May 1st $75.00
 Balance Due by July 1st $75.00
 Conditioning will be held every Tuesday & Thursday Except in observance of Memorial
Day, Dead week & Cheer Camp week
Transportation is the responsibility of each athlete on Tuesdays to the Fitness
Center of Lilburn. The facility is located less than 3 miles from Parkview High
School.

FALL/WINTER Training August 2016 - November 2016:
Purpose: To CONTINUE to Develop, Condition & Advance Skills & Technique within the spirit program


 2:45pm-4:45pm @ The Fitness Center of Lilburn
*An Additional Weekday Spirit Football Practice will be held by each Lead Squad’s Coach
and announced @ a later date starting in August.

 Choreography for Pep Rally Routines as needed
 4-Month 1-Day Training Fee: $100.00 per cheerleader
