All clinic participants and/or exhibitors must pay a $7.50 Exhibitor Fee when making entries except if entries are only for classes 35, 36, 37, 66 & 70. *Please Note, if entries are prepaid, meaning paid by entry close time of 12 noon on Monday, June 27, 2016, one free weekend gate pass per animal will be given to livestock exhibitors, to a maximum of 6 passes. Entries must be prepaid. ***Regular gate passes of $10 per day will apply after Monday at noon. Everyone will be required to wear an “Admission Bracelet”. SPECIAL: If entries are in by noon on Monday, June 20, exhibitors will be entered to win their entry fee back to a max. of $100 All entry forms must be accompanied by a cheque or Visa number for the full amount for entry fees, exhibitor fees and stalls. Cheque to be made payable to the Dauphin Agricultural Society. Entries must be received by noon Monday June 27, 2016. Entries received after this deadline will be charged double. In the absence of competition in any section, or if the stock exhibited shall be of inferior quality, the judges shall award only such premiums as they think the article or stock merits. Stock must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor or his authorized agent. Exhibits that have been erroneously entered, may at the discretion of the judges or director in charge, be transferred to the proper classes, prior to the judging. Horses competing in heavy horse classes are not eligible to compete in light horse classes and vice versa. All animals entered in the Light Horse Show must be on the grounds at the disposal of the managing committees by NOON OF EACH DAY AND MAY LEAVE ONLY AFTER 8:00 pm ON THURSDAY & FRIDAY. **THERE WILL BE NO LOADING OF LIVESTOCK OR TRAILER MOVEMENT UNTIL 7:00 pm ON SATURDAY, JULY 2nd.** EXHIBITORS MUST LEAVE BY DESIGNATED GATE ONLY. VIOLATION OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN FORFEITURES OF PRIZE MONEY AND POSSIBLE FINES. Exhibitors may bring livestock the day previous to the fair. **THESES RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. There will be no straw or hay for sale on the grounds except if pre-ordered. All stalls will be bedded on arrival of exhibitors and must be cleaned by 8:00 am each day so that the refuse can be removed before arrival of visitors, and must be kept clean. STALLS MUST BE CLEANED OUT BEFORE LEAVING OR $20 PER STALL WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR PRIZE MONEY. Only animals officially entered will be provided with barn accommodations. Accommodations will be allotted as entries are received. A fee of $15.00 will be charged for all single stalls, $30.00 for all box stalls and pens. Box stalls allocated for mare & colts as first priority. Any exception to be at approval of Horse Committees. Tack stalls available if room permits. No person will be allowed to interfere with the Judges at any time. Should any exhibitor so interfere he or she will forfeit all claims to any premiums to which he or she might otherwise be entitled. Judges decision is final. Should any fraud, deception, or dishonest practice be discovered on the part of any exhibitor or his agent, the Board of Directors may withhold any prize awarded, and may prohibit any exhibitor for exhibiting for such time as the Board may determine, and may publish the name of such exhibitor should they deem it proper to do so. Any exhibitor lodging a protest must make such protest in writing and deliver to the Secretary on the day the protested award is made, accompanied by a deposit of $5.00. Should the protest be successful the $5.00 will be returned. A fee of $15.00 will be charged to exhibitors who require electrical outlets for campers on the fair grounds during the fair. Exhibitors must provide description, length, etc of their unit on their entry form. Exhibitors can find out their camper stall # by inquiring at the barns or there will be signs posted in barns. HORSES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN CAMPGROUND AREA. NO EXCEPTIONS. No visitors to the Fair Grounds of the Society nor any person or persons, firm or corporation, of theirs or its agents, representatives, servants and or employees, having holdings or enjoying any license or privilege to exhibit at any time on the fair grounds of the Society, or occupying any space therein for exhibition or any other purposes shall have any claim or right to claim for damages arising from or as a result of any injury or injuries to any person or persons or to any property while on the Fair Grounds of the Society, nor shall any claim or demand in respect thereof, ever be made, nor shall any suit against the Society in respect thereof be instituted or maintained. If any damage, loss of injury to person or property shall be caused by reason of neglect or wilful act of any person, firm or corporation, or their agents, representatives, servants or employees, having license or privilege to exhibit on said Fair Grounds or occupying any space therein the Dauphin Agricultural Society shall in no manner be responsible therefore, and in case it be subjected to any expense or liability, all persons causing or liable thereof shall indemnify the said Society. No stalls shall be taken without authorization of the Directors in charge. All foals to be on halters at all times-in ring and around Fair Grounds. Entry Fee - $3.00 per class unless otherwise stated. NOTE – GST is included in all fees. Entry Form attached. No post entries or changes to entries allowed. The MGRA Western Division of the 2016 Horse Show will be governed by the Manitoba Gymkhana and Rodeo Assoc. Rules. For the rest of the classes, if a rule is not specified in the fair book, then they will be governed by CEF Rules. AGE DIVISIONS - all ages are as of January 1 of the current year Mini : 8 & Under (no cross entry with PeeWee classes) PeeWee: 12 years and under 4-H ages: Junior: 10 & under Junior: 13 - 18 years Intermediate: 11-14 years Senior: 19 years and older Senior: 15 & up The 4-H classes must follow the Manitoba 4-H show guide and there are no stallions allowed in those classes. Participants must be current 4H members and may be asked to produce their 4H card. Patterns will be posted 1 hour prior to classes. Proper attire must be worn in the show ring and horses properly groomed. This would include: Hat, Riding Boots, Long Sleeve Shirt with Sleeves Rolled down. If an exhibitor has two horses in any class, both horses should be saddled and ready to go or arrangements made with a director to have their entries spread out. The Show Committee reserves the right to test for any medication, drug or mechanical device administered internally or externally to a horse before or during an event and upon discovery of such, have the right to disqualify that horse from competition. The judge or ring steward may send any horses from the ring for bad manners or lameness. Exhibitors should be familiar with the MGRA rules. Exhibitors should at all times co-operate with the fair officials in parking of trucks and trailers, parking wagons and buggies and in keeping their stalls in an orderly and tidy condition. Exhibitors are asked to refrain at all times from foul and abusive language in and around the stables and in the show ring. Horses entered in classes where height is specified may be measured in shoes in which they are to appear in the ring by committee appointed by the Society. Stallions may compete in all classes except where specified. Stallions two years old and over may not be shown by a junior. One line class per horse (no registered classes anymore). Exhibitors must ensure they wear the corresponding number issued for their entry. Each horse and rider combination will be issued one number. On making entry, the owner assumes all liability on account of accidents to either horse or rider or property and releases the Dauphin Agricultural Society from all responsibility. NO entry fees will be refunded except for illness as verified by doctor or vet. All dogs must be on a leash at all times while on the fair grounds. In case of rain out, all entry fees of rained out classes will be refunded. Ribbon Recycling Program If you would like to recycle your ribbons the Dauphin Ag society will pay you the following: Flat ribbons - $0.25 each, Rosette - $2.00 each. All ribbons must be in excellent condition. Please take to them to the office and the money will be added to your prize money No cross entries of horses between all line classes MGRA and MBRA Sanctioned. NAERIC approved. Exhibitor Gate The Exhibitor Gate is located off of 3rd ST S.E. Please turn east, off of main street at Kentucky Fried Chicken at the lights. Signs will be posted!! The old gate on 1st Ave will be closed to vehicle traffic. Reminder Horse trailers must be parked where designated. NO HORSE TRAILERS (unless they have living quarters) WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN CAMPGROUNDS. NO HORSES TO BE TIED IN CAMPGROUND. Exhibitors will be allowed to unload vehicles by barns but then are required to park all vehicles in the assigned parking area. Each Exhibitor will be allocated one vehicle pass. Vehicles without vehicle passes will not be allowed to park on fair grounds.
