2017 – EAST LYME LITTLE LEAGUE EVALUATIONS
All players to be evaluated must register for the 2017 Spring Season by February 24th for Softball
and March 2nd for Baseball. To register, go to www.eastlymelittleleague.org.
WHO DOESN’T HAVE TO ATTEND: See the following pages for the Little League Age Charts to determine
your player’s league age.
 Softball league age 6 and 7’s need not attend evaluations.
 Softball league age 8’s that desire to play in AA division need not attend evaluations.
 Softball league age 13-15 need not attend evaluations.
 Baseball league age 4, 5, 6 and 7’s need not attend evaluations. If a 7 played one year of A ball
they are encouraged to play AA this season, however, they may play in either A or AA division this
Spring at parent’s choice.
 Baseball league age 8’s that desire to play in AA division, need not attend evaluations.
If none of the above applies to your player, they must attend an evaluation session as instructed below:
SOFTBALL EVALUATION SESSIONS - Players should plan to attend the entire assigned evaluation session.
Players should bring their gloves, helmets and bats, please no cleats.
February 26, 2017 9:00 – 10:30pm ELMS Gym (Softball)
 Softball league age 10’s & 9’s
 Softball - Any 8 year old player that desires to be evaluated for play in the AAA softball division in
the 2017 Season. There are no guarantees that any 8’s will be selected for AAA. Selections are
limited to situations where there is a need for players to fill the AAA roster pool.
February 26, 2017 10:30 – 12:00pm ELMS Gym (Softball)
 Softball League age 12’s & 11’s
BASEBALL EVALUATION SESSIONS – 2 Hour Sessions. 30 minutes for Registration, trying on uniforms for
sizing and warm up; followed 90 Minute Evaluation. Players should plan to attend the entire assigned
evaluation session. Players should bring their gloves, helmets and bats, please no cleats.
February 26, 2017 11:30 – 1:30pm ELMS Gym (Baseball)
 Baseball 9’s. All baseball 9’s are encouraged to attend AAA evaluations. If there is a safety
concern or parent request, 9’s will be placed in AA.
 Baseball 8’s that (i) played at least 1 year of AA level baseball (ii) and desire to be evaluated for
play in the AAA baseball division in the 2017 Season. There are no guarantees that any 8’s will be
selected for AAA. Selections are limited to situations where there is a need for players to fill the
AAA roster pool.
February 26, 2017 1:00 - 3:00 pm. ELMS Gym (Baseball)
 All Baseball league age 12’s
March 5, 2017 10:00 – 12:00pm ELMS Gym (Baseball)
 All Baseball league age 11’s
March 5, 2017 12:00 – 2:00pm ELMS Gym (Baseball)
 All Baseball league age 10’s
