Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare is a regional state psychiatric hospital providing mental health
services to adults living with severe and persistent mental illness in the central Ohio area (18 counties.)
Our mission is to provide recovery-based, safe, high quality, cost-effective and accessible inpatient
mental health services to persons with severe mental illness in partnership with our patients, their
families and other community providers. Twin Valley has been providing mental health service to
central Ohio since 1838.
3. Position Requirements

Candidate must be 18 years of age or older, successfully complete a background check (we provide for
this), have a basic understanding of recovery related to mental health issues, and possess a sincere
interest in working with adults living with severe mental illness.
4. Responsibilities
Please describe specific tasks and projects the student will be given.
The Material Resource Program is a much utilized resource provided to our patients in need of clothing
while hospitalized. Currently we accept gently used and new clothing that is donated by community
members. The tasks not only involve daily operational needs, but also looking long range to establish
relationships with retail/wholesale companies to help meet the clothing needs of our patients. The
operational responsibilities include; processing donated inventory, general room organization, and sort
donated clothing.

Evaluate existing program and propose site improvements that are efficient and meet current
safety guidelines.
Establish relationships with retail/wholesale companies for a consistent donation of clothing to
meet patients’ needs.
Establish displays that provide a normalizing shopping experience.
Gain leadership skills and experience working within a state agency and in-patient hospital.
