THE EAGLE OPEN RIFLE MATCH
JANUARY 22, 23, 24, 2016
The Morehead State Rifle Team will be hosting the Eagle Open Rifle Match at Morehead
State University, Morehead, KY. It is an NRA Approved 60 Shot Indoor NRA Metric
Smallbore Position Match and 60 Shot Standing Air Rifle Match. Match format is the same as
an NCAA match.
COMPETITION IS OPEN TO any individual member of the National Rifle Association, or
member of an NRA affiliated junior or collegiate club.
RULES: The current NRA International Rifle Rules will govern.
ENTRY FEES are $20.00 per person package for smallbore and air rifle. $15.00 per person
for smallbore or air rifle only. Fees include all matches, individual and team. Fees may be
paid upon arrival. Cash or check is acceptable.

ENTRIES CLOSE AND LIMITS: entries will close one hour before each relay begins firing.
Match limit is 40 competitors. There is no penalty for a late entry as long as space remains.
Please allow enough time prior to your start time to set up and complete registration.
RANGE LOCATION is in the Button Auditorium ground floor on the MSU campus. Building
address is 220 University Blvd, Morehead, KY 40351.
Results will be provided to all competitors either by email or US Mail.

TARGETS are MegaLink electronic targets. Range limitations of 8 firing points for Smallbore
and 5 firing points for Air Rifle. Refer to relay squadding chart. You may begin the match
with either Smallbore or Air Rifle, and then will switch to the other range to complete the
match. Firing points will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Ranges are on the
ground floor of the Button Auditorium Building, and are in close proximity to each other.
Smallbore is the NRA/USAS-50 target. Air Rifle is the AR-1/1.
CATEGORIES FOR TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL MATCHES
A team consists of four firing members. Teams do not have to fire as a unit, however the
entire team must be declared when the first member competes.
COLLEGIATE: Full time college students who represent NCAA or non-NCAA shooting
programs.
JUNIOR (J1): 2016 Birthday in calendar years 18-20.
INTERMEDIATE JUNIOR (J2): 2016 Birthday in calendar years 15-17.
SUB JUNIOR (J3): 2016 Birthday in calendar year 14 or younger.
OPEN: Shooters who are not eligible as Juniors or Collegiates.

Prep and Kneeling Sighting Period is 15 Minutes.
60 Shot Match
Block Time of 1 hour, 45 minutes.
Match order: 20 Shots Kneeling, 20 Shots Prone, and 20 Shots Standing.
