3) Once you log in, click on the 8th GMAS tab at the top of the web page. Choose ELA.

5. Today, we will be working within the Information and Media Literacy section. Our focus will be standards
6 and 7.
6. To access the tasks within each standard
you will need to click on the standard to
expand the options.
7. You should work your way from the
“GAME” tab to the “Questions” tab.
8. Begin with STANDARD 6 A. Play ONE Game B. Watch the videos for AUTHOR’S POINT OF VIEW and
DETECTING AUTHOR’S BIAS
C. Complete the following “Performance Tasks” – AUTHOR’S PERSPECTIVE 2, AUTHOR’S POINT OF VIEW and
IDENTIFY BIAS.
D. Complete ONE ‘Random’ or Advanced Vocabulary Question within the Vocabulary section
E. Complete ONE ‘Random’ or Advanced Question within the ‘Question’ section.
***Once you go through this process with standard 6, go back and expand standard 7.
A. Play ONE Game B. Watch the videos for MAKING AN ARGUMENT and FAULTY REASONING
C. Complete the following “Performance Tasks” – EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT A CLAIM, IS THE REASON WELL
SUPPORTED and RECOGNIZING APPEALS TO LOGIC.
D. Complete ONE ‘Random’ or Advanced Vocabulary Question within the Vocabulary section
E. Complete ONE ‘Random’ or Advanced Question within the ‘Question’ section.
