Composition of Complex
The Fulton County Court Complex is comprised of three buildings:

LEWIS R. SLATON COURTHOUSE (a/k/a “Fulton County Courthouse” or “Old
Courthouse”)
JUSTICE CENTER TOWER (a/k/a “New Tower”)
CHARLES L. CARNES BUILDING (a/k/a Justice Center Building)
™ The three buildings are connected via bridges, hallways, an escalator and elevators. Please
see attached maps and notes below for more information about how to move from one
building to another.
Entrances

You may enter the Complex through entrances on both PRYOR STREET and
CENTRAL AVENUE:
o The Pryor Street entrance is located at 136 Pryor Street (Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse)
on the 1st Floor.
ƒ Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse elevators are located directly ahead of the
security area.
o The Central Avenue entrance is located at 185 Central Avenue (Justice Center Tower)
on the Ground Floor.
ƒ Justice Center Tower elevators are located to the left of the security area.
ƒ Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse elevators are located to down the hallway and to
the right of the security area.
You are required to CLEAR SECURITY at each entrance.
o You may not bring cameras, tape recorders, sharp objects, glass or weapons with you
into the courthouse.
ƒ Unauthorized items will be confiscated and held by the Sheriff’s Department
You MAY NOT ENTER the complex through the Charles L. Carnes Building. The
PRYOR STREET entrance of the building is reserved for employees of the Fulton
County Sheriff’s Department.

™ Take the elevators directly in front of you to the 3rd Floor, where you will see the
receptionist desk.

™ Enter FCC through the Pryor Street entrance
™ Make a right after clearing security
™ The Clerk’s Office is the first door on the right, before you reach the railing
for the atrium overlooking the art exhibit below.
o Criminal Division (5th Floor, Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse)
™ Enter FCC through the Pryor Street entrance
™ Take the elevators directly in front of you to the 5th Floor.
™ The information desk is located beyond the double doors
™ Filing windows are located to the left of the information desk
o Closed Files (1st Floor, Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse)
