How can you help your child with Chinese ( 阅读带给你知识, 知识能带给你能量) • Help them with reading • 不要完全凭着个人喜好读书,尽量“博览”,多读文学 作品类的书籍 • 不要盲目的拔高阅读,需要因人而异,无需勉强 • 不强调必须读长篇小说,文学类的报纸,杂志也可以; • 多与孩子有读书上的交流 • Help them with writing • 学会仿写 • 阅读的提高,自然而然有力地促进了写作的提高 Use Firefly 9 How can you help your child with Chinese • Immerse your child in Mandarin Encourage them to listen to Mandarin songs and talk to his/ her Chinese friends. Write your weekly menu in Chinese. In these ways, the use of Mandarin becomes practical to him. • Verbalise your actions We normally describe our actions to students in Mandarin in class. They will learn what they hear and see, eventually pick up the language. • Read with your child If you can not read with your child, use the digital resources to help. It can reinforce the vocabulary picked up from the book. • Learn with your child The more you use the language, the more it will sharpen what you had learnt during your school days.
