WE INITIATIVES
We continue to support our efforts to raise another $2000 this year to help Ecuador.
We want to help Ecuador one step at a time to becoming a self-sustainable
community.

Popcorn sales - $1.50/bag
Mon. May 8 – Fri. May 12th
WE all love popcorn, and during the week of May 8 – 12th, WE ambassadors will be
selling popcorn in pre-packaged bags for only $1.50!! The popcorn is Butter and Salt
flavour and is peanut free and safe for schools. All money raised from popcorn sales
will be used to support our WE goals of clean water and agriculture in Ecuador!!

Cancer Awareness Day-$2 donation
Thursday, May 11th
So many of our lives are touched by Cancer. We want to join in the fight against Cancer
by dedicating our May Spirit Day to raising Cancer awareness in our community. On
Thursday, May 11th, students are asked to support this cause with a $2 donation. All
money raised will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society right here in Toronto!! We
would also like to ask students to choose a specific colour to wear that will represent the
type of cancer they are raising awareness for. For example, wearing lime green raises
awareness for Lymphoma. Check the list below for all the colour options.


Jersey Spirit Day
Thank you for your continued
support this year!! We were
able to raise $274.20 for St.
John Bosco Church. When we
come together as a Catholic
community, we can achieve
great things!

Earth Day
Acitivities
Ms. Luizinho’s Eco Club,
Ms. Vance’s class, WE
ambassadors, and Ms.
Rodela’s class participated
in TCDSB’s Community
Clean Up on April 21st.
They helped to keep
Toronto clean and green!
WE ambassadors also
read stories related to our
environment to the primary
classes and they also
planted herbs that will be
sold to support our WE
causes.
