Deliver emergency first aid services to all players involved in the Girls’ Player Development
Centre.
September 2014 – April 2015
Responsible for;

The welfare of players within the Girls’ Player Development Centre

Providing assessment & treatment of injured players.

Decision making process (fitness of player to train or play).

Player education (injury prevention).

Continuing Professional Development.

Communication regarding injury status and rehabilitation of players to coaching staff and parents.

Medical records. All notes and records must be kept securely.

Confidentiality.

Must be available at training sessions and attend fixtures.
Key skills and experience required: Essential

FA Basic First Aid for Sport Course.

The FA CRC (Criminal Records Check) issued within last 3 years.

Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children
Workshop Certificate.

Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to travel independently.

Ability to work in a team environment
Key skills and experience required: Desirable

Current BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree

Membership of The Society of Sports Therapists (SST) – Insured Status

Evidence of continuing education in sports medicine

Previous experience in, and appropriate skills for, the delivery of sports therapy services.

Understanding of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway

Knowledge and understanding of working with young players

Previous experience of working in sport

Ability to organise and prioritise own workload

Successful candidates will be required to commit to once a week for a 24 week coaching programme and a minimum
of 3 fixtures during the PDC Programme. Full details will be confirmed at interview.
