Example Instructions for Volunteer Role Handover

OPEN UP club house etc – have they got the keys needed?
GOAL POST PADS ON – detail where they’re kept
STRETCHER – detail where it’s kept
Table and 2 chairs from change rooms for time keepers if not
in time keeper’s box.
Catch up with other Team Manager – Welcome to Club. Let
opposition boys know where change rooms are – make friends!
MATCH DAY CHECKLIST do ground check with other Team
Manager, fill in & get signed by other Team Manager.
CHECK TEAM SHEET – strike off kids not playing, add any on
team sheet. (Update your online team sheet later)
MEET UMPIRES - give them, match ball, vote cards match day
report, envelope, team sheets – from both teams (other team
may take responsibility for theirs)
TIME KEEPERS – provide 1 score card each team, info for time
keeper from handbook, team sheet, siren & time clock (time
keeper is responsible to hand all back into the kit)

GOAL UMPIRES – provide both teams with score cards (a team
sheet for our goal umpire optional)
INTERCHANGE OFFICIAL GIVEN SHEET and instructions – kids
need to enter and leave field via interchange gate, put the
jumper numbers who start each quarter off in the boxes at
bottom of the form, note any changes for both teams
throughout the quarter.
GOAL KICKERS – someone needs to keep a record on team
sheet
CLUB VOTES – your coach will determine how they want to do
this.

Take match ball from umpires
Grab score sheets form Goal Umpires (signed by each other)
Grab score sheets from Time Keepers
Take to Central Umpire for signing
Get coach to list players to go into the Geelong Advertiser 1
(best)-6 put on team sheet with Goal Kickers.
Get other team’s Team Sheet with their best players and Goal
Kickers
Grab Club Votes from those doing them.
Match Day Envelope with
Umpire votes in envelope

Match Day Checklist – original (Keep duplicate)
4 score cards
2 Team Sheets -1 from each team original given to Umpire
Interchange Record
You’ll only need a Report Form if someone is reported.
Go Home – put in the results, return the envelope to Football
