Get-Acquainted and Team Building Exercises

June 2017
Your word is a lamp for my feet,
a light on my path.
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
Remember, teambuilding is an
important part of your meeting
time as you seek to build
relationships among your
women. Team builders should
take place at the beginning of
your time together to get your
women interacting with one
another. Most likely, it will set
the mood for the rest of your
meeting time.
Here is a team builder that will encourage your women to work together
and also get them to use their Bibles to find scriptures. It’s a fun way to
read God’s word together and discover new verses too!

Depending on the number of women you
have in attendance, divide them into three
groups. If you have more than 12 women you
may want to have more groups. Keep groups to
a maximum of four to five women per group. It
will make it easier for them to work.

Have Bibles available, one per woman if possible.
Have two pieces of newsprint per group taped to the walls.
Assign letters of the alphabet to each group.
You can do that as A-I, J-R and S-Z or randomly,
using all the letters.
Instruct the groups to find scriptures beginning with each
letter they are assigned and write the letter and the scripture
on the newsprint provided.
Some will have a hard time with Q, X, Z,
but encourage them to be creative! (e.g. X –“eXalt the Lord our God”)
Review all the scriptures together.
