The role of the Water Agency in financing the wastewater treatment Households Agriculture Industry The Water Agency Artois-Picardie collects around 200 millions euros every year from water taxes (Abstraction and Waste Water Discharge). 5 2. The role of the Water Agency in financing the wastewater treatment Water Agency Municipality • Staff from water agency works with staff from Municipality for the financial support application • All data from these applications are stored in a database in the Agency in order to have « Reference Costs » for WWTP • The amount of the financial support will be calculated on a value of the Investment taking into account these reference costs 8 2.
