INTRODUCTION:
Elsteel Modular LIGHT is Elsteel’s new and exciting product
offering to the Australian market. This range is designed to
meet the needs of a market segment that is looking for the
flexibility a fully modular system can offer while remaining
competitive.
Elsteel Modular LIGHT is quite similar to Elsteel’s TECHNO
Modular System in that it offers switchboard builders the
facility to build switchboards and control panels in modular
increments to various dimensions. The main difference with
this range is that it is of a lighter gauge of steel which
means it can be used for small to medium size switchboards
and panels up to 800A. The system is fully type tested and
is available in both Grey and in Orange. The parts are
supplied flat-packed.
The product is ideally suited to Lighting & Small Power
Boards, Metering Boards, Mechanical Services Control
Panels and Motor Control Centres all up to 800A.

coated Black RAL9005. They are supplied pre-assembled
and include removable gland plates. For depths
greater than 400mm use standard TECHNO plinths.

Corner Bars are made of 1mm electro galvanised
powder coated steel and are supplied as a set
of 4. They are used to form the outer framework
of a single section and are supplied with captive
screws. A typical section includes 3 sets of Corner
Bars with the exception being when Instant Plates
are used. Corner Bars have tapped holes every
25mm forming a 25mm grid. Modular indicators
are provided every 200mm.

Cross Bars are made of 1mm electro galvanised powder coated steel. Their
main use is to divide a framework into tiers and sub-divide tiers into
sections or compartments. Like Corner Bars they have tapped holes every
25mm, modular indicators every 200mm and are supplied with captive
screws. As Corner Bars and Cross Bars are screwed together to form a
framework, they provide good earth continuity.

Elsteel Modular Light
Doors are made of 1mm mild steel and are finished with an
epoxy polyester textured powder coat. They are dished and
include a formed high grade polyurethane continuous gasket
to provide a good seal. Doors may be hinged left or right. They
are supplied complete with hinges, locks and fitting accessories.

cut-out to suit various products like circuit breakers,
meters etc. DIN Rail Inserts come with DIN cut-outs
and mounting rails. Both are made of 1.2mm mild
steel and are painted White RAL 9010.

With Elsteel Modular Light the Universal Busbar Holder can be
used for ratings up to 800A only. The table below provides
details to ensure that the requirements of type teste certificates
are maintained.
Universal Busbar Holders can be mounted at the top, bottom
or at various positions at the rear section of the switchboard.
Their unique clamping method together with the Elsteel’s range
of copper accessories does away with the need for drilling and
bending of busbars making installation a simple process.

Elsteel Modular Light
Fixed Type Compartments are made of 1.0mm thick
mild steel. They are used to provide higher forms of
internal separation to Form 3 and Form 4. They
are supplied as flat sheets. The edges are perforated
which allows them to be bent easily with a bending
tool to form a compartment. The kit comes complete
with a back plate, 2mm mounting plate, gland plates
and mounting hardware.
