PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS (BASIC CONDITIONS) REGULATIONS 1997
Monthly Revocation Notice
(All references to the above legislation in this revocation notice are to the same as amended
to the date of issue of this notice)
Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers conferred by Regulation 13(5) and (6)
of the Plant Protection Products Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/1435) (‘PPPR’) and Regulations
5 and 6 of the Plant Protection Products (Basic Conditions) Regulations 1997 (SI 1997/189)
(‘BCR’) and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, the Secretary of State, and the
Scottish Ministers (as regards Scotland in relation to Regulations 5 and 6 BCR) and the
Welsh Ministers and the Secretary of State (acting jointly as regards Wales in relation to
Regulations 5 and 6 BCR) have:(a)
revoked,
(i)
the provisional approvals under Regulation 7 of the Plant Protection Products
Regulations 2005 for the placing on the market and use of the plant protection
products named below under the Notice of Approval numbers detailed below;
and
(ii)
the approvals under Regulation 5 and 6 of the Plant Protection Products (Basic
Conditions) Regulations 1997 for the advertisement and storage of the plant
protection products named below under the Notice of Approval numbers
referred to below.
(b)
granted a period of grace and approval until 30 September 2011 for the
advertisement, sale and supply by persons other than the approval holder of existing
stocks for the named pesticide products and Notice of Approval numbers listed in the
schedule;
(c)
granted a period of grace and approval until 30 September 2012 for the storage and
use by any persons for the pesticide products and Notice of Approval numbers listed
in the schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTES
(A)
REVOCATION OF PREVIOUS NOTICES. Following a recent evaluation, a
new Notice of Approval has been issued for this product that supersedes
previous approval(s). The above Notice revokes the previous approval(s).
(B)
REVOCATION OF PREVIOUS NOTICES WHERE A NEW MAPP NO HAS
BEEN ISSUED. Following a recent evaluation, a new MAPP number has been
issued under a new Notice of Approval number that supersedes previous
approval(s). The above Notice revokes approval(s) for the old MAFF/MAPP
number.
(C) REVOCATION OF PREVIOUS NOTICES WHERE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED
USES/CONTAINER HAVE LOST APPROVAL. Following a recent evaluation,
a new Notice of Approval has been issued that supersedes previous
approval(s). However the previously approved uses/containers listed in the
Schedule above were not supported by adequate data/information and do not
hold approval under the new Notice. The above Notice revokes the previous
approval(s) and highlights the use/container for which approval has not been
granted under the new approval. Labels must be amended to reflect this
change.
(D) REVOCATION OF PREVIOUS NOTICES WHERE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED
USES/CONTAINER HAVE LOST APPROVAL AND A NEW MAPP NO HAS
BEEN ISSUED. Following a recent evaluation, a new MAPP number has been
issued under a new Notice of Approval number that supersedes previous
approval(s). However the previously approved uses/container listed above
were not supported by adequate data/information and do not hold approval
under the new Notice. The above Notice revokes approval(s) for those
uses/containers and the old MAFF/MAPP number.
(E)
REVOCATION OF PREVIOUS NOTICES WHERE ALL PREVIOUSLY
APPROVED USES HAVE LOST APPROVAL i.e. PHASED REVOCATION OF
THE PRODUCT. Following a recent evaluation it is considered that all
previously approved uses of this product are not supported by adequate
data/information, therefore all approvals for this product, will be made subject to
a phased revocation. The above Notice revokes all approval(s) for the product.
