ANSWER: The moratorium expires on August 8, 2017. Therefore, the zoning ordinance’s second read must be adopted no later than the August 7, 2017 meeting. Proposed Timeline: May 31, 2017- Work Session on Review of DeKalb County’s Zoning Ordinance and Sign Ordinance June 7, 2017- Work Session: Cont. Review of Proposed Revisions to Zoning Ordinance and Sign Ordinance June 28, 2017- Work Session: Review of Sign Ordinance; Status update on Zoning Map No later than June 31, 2017- Obtain Zoning Map information and prepare draft of Zoning Map Stonecrest Updates: Planning & Zoning Timeline Advertisement must be posted no earlier than June 16, 2017 (45 days) and no later than Sunday, July 16, 2017 (15 days). -Advertisement must meet requirements of ZPL and advertise the adoption of the zoning ordinance, zoning map, sign ordinance, DeKalb County’s Comprehensive Plan, and policies and procedures for zoning hearing. -Advertisement should also indicate when and where proposed versions will be available for review.
