Attendance Agreement
On May 13, 2017, immediately following the ceremony at Municipal Auditorium, there will be an After
Graduation Party at Power Play, 13110 W. 62nd. Terrace, Shawnee, KS held for the senior class. This is
an exciting evening of food, fun, and games. Traditionally, over 90% of the class attends this drug and
alcohol free event.

It is important that we have
Graduation: Graduating seniors will board buses at BVNW destined for Municipal Auditorium for the
graduation ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, rooms will be available at Municipal
Auditorium for students to change into comfortable clothing for the party. Parents will be able to meet with
their student before buses are boarded for PowerPlay. Parents: please take your student’s belongings
home with you (except for essentials such as car keys and driver’s license). At the conclusion of the
party, the seniors will ride the buses back to BVNW arriving at approximately 3:15 A.M.
A parent/guardian signature and a student signature (page 2 of this document) is required for eligibility to
participate in the After Graduation Party. Furthermore, with your signatures you collectively agree to be
bound by the following rules and agreement at said After Graduation Party:
1.
All seniors attending the After Graduation Party must be transported to and from Power Play on
the buses provided by BVNW. No exceptions. If a minor illness occurs, the parent/guardian will
be notified and the student will only be released to their parent/guardian.
2.
Seniors must be drug and alcohol free before arrival at BVNW and throughout the party. Parents
will be called to pick up their senior if this rule is broken.
A Shawnee Police Officer will be
present to deal with violations.
3.
If your senior is registered and does not show up, the parent/guardian will be called. Plan to be
available should we need to reach you.
4.
All bags with their belongings will be collected and stored in a secure area at Power Play. Bags
may be inspected if the need arises and contents will be subject to search.
5.
Only BVNW graduating seniors may attend the party.
6.
NO STUDENT MAY LEAVE BEFORE THE PARTY IS OVER. Violators’ parents will be
called. Seniors that leave may not return to the party. The After Graduation Committee will not
be responsible for seniors who leave.
Statistics show that the number of fatalities of graduating seniors from high school drastically increases during the
night of graduation ceremonies. The intention of this committee of concerned parents of BVNW students is to
provide a safe, fun, protected environment free from the influence of drugs or alcohol. This agreement is to
inform students and their parents/guardians of the specifics of the party that has been arranged for them and the
behavioral conduct that will be required of the participants. This is also a liability waiver to protect those people
or entities that are organizing and conducting this party.

myself to its conditions and release from any and all liability Blue Valley Northwest High School,
Blue Valley School District and/or affiliates, Blue Valley Northwest Parent Booster Club, Blue
Valley Resource Officers, and/or individuals who may participate in the organization of or
conduct a role of any type in the execution of this After Graduation Party.
