Product Specification Nitoflor FC120HB Heavy duty, high build, floor coating, chlorinated rubber, UV stable, for trafficable floors and car parks *1.00 Floor coating 1.10 Substrate Preparation 1.11 Where so designated on the drawings, internal concrete floor surfaces shall be coated with a one component, chlorinated rubber floor coating providing a surface treatment to protect against wear and limited chemical attack. 1.12 General All surfaces shall be prepared, and the coating material applied strictly in accordance with the current manufacturer technical data sheet. All work shall be carried out by an experienced contractor, who is well trained in application of the specific, documented, coating system. All materials used in conjunction with the coating system, shall be approved by the coating manufacturer. 1.13 Surface Preparation All surfaces to which the new coating material is to be applied shall be fine textured, clean, sound, and free from loose material and contamination such as plaster, oil, paint and grease. Concrete substrate must not have a relative humidity of greater than 80% at the time of coating application. Excess laitance should be removed by light scabbling or captive shot blasting followed by vacuuming to remove all dust debris. All large substrate cracks, holes, surface imperfections which may cause excessive wearing on high spots and change the perceived colour of the coating are to be removed, filled, and dry, prior to coating application. For applications where water vapour seepage or moisture are of concern, pre-treatment and priming with a manufacturer approved moisture barrier must be used.
