The objective of this postgraduate program is to provide graduate-level training in cognitive science.
Participating students, through core and elective subjects, will be introduced both to the general
theoretical foundations of cognitive science and to more specialised practical work in its various

Under the UGC Scheme of Universities with Potential for Excellence, the University of Allahabad was
selected for developing ゥhavioral and Cognitive Sciences as an Island of Excellence. The Centre for
Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences was established and is the first of its kind in India offering a Master's
and Doctoral Programme in Cognitive Science. The students in the Master's programme will be
introduced to important theoretical and experimental aspects in cognitive science through core and
