PART TIME JUNIOR LECTURER (THEORY PART)
FACULTY OF ICT
DEPARTMENT OF 1st YEAR AND FOUNDATION UNIT

The Department of 1st Year and Foundation Unit requires the services of Part Time Junior
Lecturer for (6) Six Months period – semester 2 of 2016 at Soshanguve South Campus.
Key performance areas/Core functions:





To lecture the THEORY PART of the following subject: Foundation Information and
Development Software Skills (FPIDS01).
Teach students the theory part of the subject Foundation Information and Software
development Skills for one semester.
Lecturing duties e.g. lecturing, invigilating, marking scripts, and processing marks.
Attend activities of the Unit e.g. meetings.
Any other relevant academic duties as required by the academic manager.
Minimum requirements:
1. Academic qualifications

B Tech (IT) with a programming subject on 3rd year level.

BSc ( or equivalent and relevant) degree with IT on 2nd level
Experience:




Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point will be an advantage.
Knowledge of the ITS system to enter students’ marks will be an advantage.
A mathematics qualification on 2nd year level, and teaching / lecturing experience in
mathematics will be an advantage.
Experience in programming on tertiary level (students assistant experience doesn’t
qualify as lecturing experience), will be an advantage.
