GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING SPARKS IN THE PARK – WE REQUEST PARENTS
OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
Bensons Funfair are an independent business as are other soft play operators at Sparks and
we appreciate their generosity in providing many rides or activities rides through Horsham
Rotary free of charge before 12 midday.
We understand that these businesses need to ensure that everything they do is safe, fair
and does not compromise their commercial operations after 12 midday.
Horsham Rotary asks that all visiting parents bear this in mind and treat the ride operators
respectfully so as to help us maintain our good relationships for the benefit of future
visitors.
The Rotary Sparks in the Park Morning Experience is now very popular, attracting several
hundred parents and their children. This means that there can be high demand for some of
the fairground rides at times, especially the dodgems.
Parents should be prepared for there to be some queues and we ask they help each other to
ensure that as many children as possible 'get to have a go'.
To assist in this aim, at the end of every ride and especially the dodgems, please help to
ensure that each ride is vacated safely and, if 'another go' is wanted we ask that you re-join
the queue to take your turn. (There is to be no 'staying on' - unless there is no queue and the
ride operator indicates that it is okay) We understand this is sometimes difficult Rotary will
have people on hand to help.
Some rides or activities may become damp or muddy through use. Parents can expect that
their children's clothes may get dirty or wet as a result and parents may choose to dress
them accordingly.
Some equipment, particularly the inflatable slides cannot be used for safety reasons if they
get wet. High winds can also restrict use of some items.
Not every piece of equipment may be operational at the same time. Bensons Funfair will
operate as much they can, to provide a wide variety of rides safely.
Prize winning games, merchandise and food stalls are not free (Prizes will be given) and will
be subject to their normal rules and pricing.
Kind Regards,
