What’s Happening in Spencer’s Crest?
Concrete: There are
several areas where
concrete needs repair
and/or replacement.
Concrete replacements are planned to be done in areas
in front of the 1115-1 and 2 buildings, the 1100-4
building, and the 1115- 7-8-9 buildings. You will be
contacted prior to work commencement in order to
find alternate parking arrangements.
Pet Responsibility: We appreciate the efforts of many
residents to keep the property clear of pet waste!
HOWEVER……We continue to receive numerous
complaints that residents are not picking up after their
pets and/or not keeping pets on a leash in the
common areas. Not only are these rules at Spencer’s
Crest, they are also ordinances in the City of Columbia,
and, more importantly, it is simply a courtesy to your
neighbors. Not picking up after your pets is
unsanitary, causes undesirable odors and generally
leaves the property looking messy. Please pick up each
time you let your pets outside!
We Are Watching!
Basketball goals are back up as
desired by the majority of the owners
and residents of Spencer’s Crest. New
surveillance cameras have been installed covering
the basketball court, pool and shelter, and are
monitored by CAM and the Board. If problems
occur, the basketball goals will be taken back
down.
Park In Your Garage: Our office continues to get
numerous complaints about parking throughout
Spencer’s Crest. The letter you received in April
reminded you that the Declarations state the primary
parking is to be your garage. Any second vehicles
should be parked in the parking lot as close to your
building as possible. Additional resident vehicles
should be parked on the street to allow ample parking
for the owners and guests.
*Make sure that if you are parking in a handicapped
parking space that you have the proper hang tag and
license plate. It is the law!

Dumpster Areas: Be reminded that we all share in the
convenience and usage of the dumpsters throughout
the property,
~If you have trash before pick up days, make sure you
do not leave it in the breezeways or on your porch,
take it to a dumpster!~
When making use of the dumpsters, please be
responsible and respectful by not placing large items in
the dumpster areas that require “special pick-ups” by
hired contractors, which results in higher operating
expenses for the Association. Dumping by NONRESIDENTS is illegal, and should you see non-resident
dumping items in or around the dumpsters, obtain
their vehicle information and call the police
department’s non-emergency line at 573.442.6131.
Residents of upper units, please do
not water your plants to excess where
they overflow to your below
neighbors/ the breezeways.
