Not an ordinary task since, in addition to the requirements on efficient warehouse logistics, the comprehensive constructional and technical guidelines for the handling of chemical products had to be met – and all this within the framework of a 40 m high warehouse complex. Further substantial requirements on throughput speed, pallet control, and warehouse management resulted in the core task of the company: to satisfy the trend in the chemicals industry towards tailor-made products and the resulting small batch sizes – with ever shorter delivery times and appropriate stockpiling.
