The New Sannox Financial Plan
July 2013
Summary of Plan
The new Financial Plan covers three areas – matching monthly costs to
our income, repaying the interest free loans on time and building the
centre at Sannox. This letter sets out our proposed actions in these three
areas. We need your help and support to make it happen.
1. Meeting our monthly costs.

Action 1: We will reduce our project management, construction
and architectural costs by £2,000 pm by 1st September 2013.

Action 2: We will reduce our general expenses from £884 pm to
£500 pm by 1st September 2013.

Action 3: We will appoint Ken Burns, one of our Board Members,
as cost controller.
Explanation
The last two years have been an amazing time for all of us where we
have seen God working in a wonderful way, blessing the work at Sannox,
preparing the way, teaching us and reshaping us. He has released
resources to purchase Sannox, He continues to bless people as they
come and the courses that have happened this year have been amazing.
However, during the past few months God has been challenging us about
our financial management. We had presumed money would come in
when we needed it and when it didn’t come in to completely repay an
interest free loan of £40,000 in March we reached out to God to ask if
we had got it wrong. In response God has said clearly that we must
introduce good financial management; matching our costs to our current
monthly income, improving our cost control and, in particular, allocating
money from new income to enable loans to be repaid when they are
due. This plan is in response to that guidance.
1
In addition, to ensure that our costs remain under control we have asked
Ken Burns, one of our Board Members, to act as cost controller. Ken will
work with Stuart, Barbara, Jim and myself to ensure all costs are known
and approved. This is a voluntary, unpaid position.
These three actions mean that our monthly expenditure will reduce to
£2,500 pm by 1st September to match our current income – a 50% cut in
our costs.
2. Repayment plan for the interest free loans.

Action 4: To establish a new fund called the Storehouse
Fund that calls on people to “bring seed into the
Storehouse”. The Storehouse Fund has an initial target of
finding 300 people willing to sow £10 per month. This would
clear all the outstanding loans in 3 years. We will set up a
new account into which people can give their £10 per
month. We are also asking people to find three others to do
the same.
Explanation
The interest free loans we received enabled us to purchase Sannox at a
time when bank funding was not an option. We feel God has been saying
to us that we need to set aside money each month to make sure we can
pay them back. We believe God has shown us a way to do this but we
need your help.
We have been blessed by people giving small donations towards the
work of Sannox and through this we have been reminded that the work
God has called us to do is the rebuilding of people not buildings. We
should therefore have a funding plan that involves as many people as
possible. So we want to establish a new fund - a Storehouse Fund - for
God's work at Sannox.
The key to the success of the Storehouse Fund is to ask each of you if you
would consider helping us in two ways:
 Firstly, consider giving £10 per month to the Storehouse Fund
 Secondly, consider sharing the vision with your friends, church,
prayer networks and other organisations, with the aim of finding
three other people who would be willing to sow £10 every
month. We already know of people who are thinking of novel
ways of doing this; eg inviting friends to a Sannox supper,
presenting at your church with sign up sheets available after the
2
service, etc. We can supply brochures, information and a power
point and of course there is the You Tube video.
The outcome of these four actions is that our monthly costs are
covered and all loans will be repaid on time within 3 years. This will
enable us to fully focus on building a house of prayer and worship at
Sannox.
3. Blessing others and building the centre
Initially, we will use the fund to set aside money for the loans but, as an
on-going part of the vision, it will become a well of provision that He will
establish and use to bless the nations.
We want to bless others and overflow into the community in a Spirit of
giving. We pour in and God will pour out in communities, churches and
ministries – all directed and instructed by Him.
Please pray for us as we implement this new financial plan. If you are
willing to commit personally to give £10 per month to the Storehouse
Fund and/or are willing to commit to finding 3 others, please go to the
Storehouse Fund page of our website - www.sannox.org - and complete
the contact form. You will also be able to download a standing order
form, gift aid form, leaflet, powerpoint presentation and find the link to
the You Tube video.
However if you prefer, you can complete the attached leaflet and send it
to Sannox Christian Centre, Sannox, Isle of Arran, North Ayrshire KY27
8JD. Once we receive your form we will send you an information pack on
the fund and how to give. If you can gift aid your donation that would be
great. Any e-mail enquiries should be sent to [email protected].
Thank you for all your support and God bless.
