Monday, May 21 Career/College Day Wear clothing depicting your future plans! Powder Puff game 4:30pm in stadium Tuesday, May 22 Ice Cream Social at 3:10pm in the courtyard sponsored by Senior Girls Club Wednesday, May 23 Senior class group picture. Picture forms are available in guidance. Senior class meeting and slideshow in the auditorium 2nd period (report to stadium when called over the intercom) (CC Seniors will miss morning CC classes due to senior picture and class meeting. CC seniors are to report to the stadium at 10:20am to get in place for the senior picture and the class meeting will be held after the picture in the auditorium.) Yearbook Distribution (200 building) Cookout 3rd period in the stadium sponsored by Senior Deans and Senior parents (CC Seniors will be dismissed from the CC at 11:15am to return to East for yearbook distribution and Senior Cookout) Awards Day: arrive to the auditorium no later than 8:30am wearing cap and gown. Once the program is over, SENIORS ONLY are dismissed for the day! (CC Seniors will miss all classes at the CC. Juniors will be excused from morning CC classes to attend Awards Day.) Thursday, May 24 Friday, May 25 SPECIAL YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION YEARBOOKS that were PREORDERED will be DISTRIBUTED on MAY 24th! Students must present their PHOTO ID in order to pick up their preordered yearbook! A limited number of yearbooks were ordered and will be sold on MAY 24th for $60 CASH ONLY! Saturday, May 19 Rachel’s Challenge Celebration at Atkins High School at 10:00AM! Be at East at 9:00am if you need to ride the bus. Canned food will be collected at the door and we would appreciate your donations! Wear your RC shirt or East Forsyth colors! See you there! Monday, May 21 Leading Ladies will have an important meeting in Room 305 at 3:45pm. All members need to attend. We will elect officers for next year! Powder Puff football game will be held in the stadium at 4:30pm. Tuesday, May 22 French Club will meet at 3:45pm in Room 1101. We will make final plans for Relay for Life on June 1st, including fundraising, the picnic, and walking together. Remember Bistro 150 on May 19th at 1:00pm! Please complete your service hours at Kid’s Café’ and bring in your wooden item for the kids at Brenner’s Children’s Hospital to paint! Chorus Concert will be held in the auditorium at 7:00pm. Thursday, May 24 Spanish Club will have its final meeting at 3:50pm in Room 1106. We will have our end-of-year fiesta! Bring a snack or drink to share and we will order pizza as well. Friday, May 25 SENIOR AWARDS DAY! Begins at 9:00am, please be early and carpool if you can! Junior Deans assisting with Awards Day need to meet Ms. Richardson at 8:15am in the Guidance Office wearing dress attire. Guidance Notify Mrs. Neugent or Mrs. Belo when you have been accepted into the college in which you will attend. We want to put your name on the Senior Plans Bulletin Board. Military? Employment? Community College? 4 year college? Kernersville Rotary Summer Leadership Program will be held July 16-20, and is open to students who are interested in enhancing their leadership skills, learning more about local government, and meeting local business and government leaders. Students must have a good academic record, be a good citizen, and motivated to be a leader. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. See Mrs. Plante if you have questions. Attention Seniors: All seniors must complete a SENIOR EXIT FORM before graduation. Seniors who have English at CC must stop by guidance to complete the form by May 21. Seniors who have English at East Forsyth will complete their forms in class. If you had English 1st semester stop by guidance ASAP to do yours! General Announcements Parking Sticker Info: MAKE SURE YOUR EFHS PARKING STICKERS ARE ON DISPLAY AT ALL TIMES WHEN PARKING ON CAMPUS! Sophomores and freshmen are NOT allowed to park on the campus of East Forsyth! TOWING WILL BE ENFORCED! Mu Alpha Theta, Math Honor Society will continue to run the Math Peer Tutoring Program in Room 307 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:15-8:45am and 3:45-4:15pm. Please come by if you need help. They can help all levels of math. NHS Seniors – please pick up gold stoles and tassels from Mrs. Morgan in Room 1007. Color Guard (Flag Team) Tryouts will be held May 21-25 from 4:00-6:00pm. Get a packet from the cubbies in the main office lobby. No experience is required, but a POSITIVE attitude is a MUST! See Mrs. Murphy in Room 302 if you have questions. Color Guard involves flag spinning, rifle spinning, and DANCE! If you like to perform in front of a crowd, this could be for you! EFHS Graduation Rehearsal – June 7, 2012 at 6:30pm (MANDATORY) EFHS Graduation – June 9, 2012 5:45pm at Winston-Salem Entertainment Complex (formerly LJVM) Kernersville Relay for Life Relay for Life will be held at EFHS on June 1, 2012 from 6pm-midnight in the stadium. Bring in any old, used cell phones to be recycled and money will be donated to the American Cancer Society! Do NOT bring accessories, just PHONES! Drop off in the container in the main office! We need 22 more phones to be able to recycle!! Relay for Life tshirts are here! $12.00 cash or check made payable to EFHS. See Mrs. Brandis in the main office to purchase.
