SUBMISSION DEADLINE: September 16, 2017
OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this conference is to provide an in-depth forum for the discussion and
dissemination of both theory and research describing the role and function of attributions in organizational
contexts. The contexts would include, but not be limited to, leader-member relations, abusive supervision,
justice, stress, ethics, performance evaluation, entitlement, group dynamics, and organizational performance.
PROGRAM ORGANIZATION: There will be no concurrent sessions. All participants are expected to attend all
sessions in order to promote the maximum integration of the concepts and ideas presented.
PAPER SUBMISSIONS: You are invited to submit your paper conforming to APA guidelines by September 16,
2017. Each paper should include 1.) a title page with the author(s), name(s), title(s), and affiliation(s); 2.) a 50
to 100 word abstract; and 3.) the text with all references, tables, figures, and notes. The paper should not
exceed 40 double spaced pages (270 words/page). Submission implies that at least one of the authors will
attend the conference.
REVIEW PROCEDURES: All submissions will be blind reviewed by at least three reviewers. Acceptance will
be based on quality, originality, theoretical rigor, and strength of contribution.
PUBLICATION: A special issue of the Journal of Organizational Behavior will be developed from the best
presentations and ideas from the conference. Appearing on the conference program does not ensure an
authorship opportunity nor is it a prerequisite. Potential articles may be solicited by the editors both before
and after the conference.

registration is $300 and includes: breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday,
and a “Jungle Cruise” at Wakulla Springs State Park in conjunction with the dinner on Friday night.

Tallahassee, 101 South Adams Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301. You can register on-line at

reserved at $125/night plus tax. The deadline for receiving the conference rate is February 15, 2018. Please
mention the Florida A&M Attribution Conference when registering. Transportation to and from the
conference will be provided at the hotel.
