1. Identification of learning question
Choose one or more of the following questions specified in the CWT Learning Agenda that your project’s
experience can contribute to. What question(s) does your project seek to answer?
What are the characteristics of effective law enforcement capacity building?
How do institutional arrangements, especially dedicated units and embed programs, impact the
uptake of skills and knowledge?
What are good examples of systems, particularly judicial systems, which have made improvements
in CWT enforcement?
What factors are necessary for effective cooperation and processes among national, sub-national,
and local authorities, especially for Wildlife Enforcement Networks?
What are some successful examples of partnerships used to deliver competency-building activities
and what made them work?
For specific audiences: Which competency-building methods and content works best, especially for
maintaining skills and retaining staff?
2. Summary of CWT enforcement capacity building activity (max 100 words)
Please include a brief summary of your activity, including goals, scope, and major approaches: your “elevator
pitch.” What is this project about?
3. Problem addressed (max 175 words)
Please include a description of the situation in your project area/scope that necessitated an intervention: What is
the problem that led to the need for an intervention?
4. Approach to CWT enforcement capacity building (max 200 words)
Please describe how your project addressed the challenge mentioned in the previous section: What did your
project do and how did you do it?
5. Results (max 175 words)
Please provide an explanation of the main results of your intervention, focusing on outcomes (e.g., a major
kingpin was prosecuted) rather than outputs (e.g., two workshops).
6. Lessons learned (max 300 words)
Contribute your input to the CWT Learning Agenda question(s) your case chose to answer in Section 1. Include
lessons and recommendations from failures as well as successes! Although the questions center around what is
“successful” or “good,” knowing what doesn’t work helps us know what does work!
7. Additional information
Provides links to resources such as fact sheets or other documents about your program in the space below, or email as attachments along with your submission. (max 5 links)
