Dear Parents and Caregivers
NATURE PLAY AT EMPS
Thank you to our National Quality Standards Board
for organising the installation of another ‘nature
play’ area for our Year 3-6 students. The ‘tyre stack’
has already been well used as a play area and also
as a ‘quiet’ space to sit and chat in the shade.
NEW STUDENTS
We welcome Connor from A19 and Dylan from
A12.
ASSEMBLY
Thank you to Puk Cressie and all the students who
performed at the Indonesian Assembly last week
and to Ibu Cindy for teaching and leading the
dance. ‘Terimakasih dan bagus’!

CHAPLAINCY FUNDING
East Maddington has once again been successful
in an application for another two years of funding.
The school will also add some funding so that Mr
Butcher will be able to work with us for three days
each week next year!
Congratulations to Brandon
from Area 7 for winning the
part of a Munchkin in the
Wizard of Oz show. Brandon
will be performing on the
10th - 13th January. See

PLANNING FOR 2017

Our annual special morning tea will be held on
Thursday December 1. All volunteer helpers are

GOSNELLS ART COMPETITION
A big thank you to our wonderful Arts Curriculum
Leader, Miss Tree for encouraging our staff and
students to enter the Road Safety Competition again
this year! We won EIGHT out of the thirteen prizes
and these children will be presented with a prize
on December 9 and their art work will be put into a
2017 calendar.

MULTI-LIT AWARDS
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS RAFFLE
The tickets are out now!!! The raffle box is
located at the front office. You can pick up tickets
from the canteen and the office if you need
extra. Donations for the raffle would be greatly
appreciated. They can be left at the office or the
canteen.
UNIFORM SHOP 2017 DATES COMING

The dates and times for the uniform shop 2017
will be available in the next newsletter. Please
watch this space. We will be taking deposits on
orders again this year.
THE BIG WALK AT EMPS
BREAKFAST CLUB
The Breakfast Club happens on Tuesday
and Thursday before school starts and helps
students with breakfast. If you are interested in
volunteering for it, please see the board between
the Canteen and Uniform Shop. Help support
your school and our students.
The P&C would like to thank everyone for their
continued support.
Our school is
donating to the
Appleton Murray
Family for little Beau
who is their cousin.
Beau had cancer and
lost his left leg. Our
school Big Walk will happen this Friday the 18th
November at lunchtime. It will cost a gold coin
donation to help raise money. The actual Big Walk
was held on the 13th of November at Burswood
Park.
