Expression of Interest (EOI) are invited from reputed/registered supplier/firms/enterprises
having 05-10 years experience in Beverages line, Canning line, Honey processing line,
Makhana processing line, maize processing (Kurkure and bakery based), Food analysis
and quality control laboratories) ripening, pre-cooling and cold chamber and related
works on turnkey project basis for three years. The bids will be for the establishment and
running (turnkey project) of fruit beverage (500Lph), Honey processing line 50-100 kg/hr)
Makhana processing line (25-50 kg/hr) and maize processing line (maize based extruded
bakery products (10-25kg/hr). For ripening, pre cooling and cold chamber 5-10 MT capacity
PUF insulation with all necessary accessories including ethylene generator, humidifier etc..
The bidders will have to submit both technical and financial bids. Sealed envelope of
EOI containing full technical information along with supporting documents, company
certification & past experiences, of similar nature of work etc in hard and soft copy. It should
reach in the office of the undersigned on or before 22/02/2016 and the same will be opened
on 23/02/2016 at 11.00 AM in the presence of the committee and bidders or their authorized

All equipments/line (turnkey projects) must be supported by necessary accessories
where required.
Term and conditions
1. Firm should be ISO 9001: 2008 certified.
2. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is required for each instrument above Fifty thousand
to Five lakh @ 5% of the actual cost and above five lakh @ 2%. Below Fifty
thousand and above thirty thousand, EMD applicable will be @ 10% on actual cost
basis. Belo thirty thousand no EMD is required.
3. In case of turnkey project, EMD amount would be @ 2% on each turnkey project.
4. EMD will be acceptable in the form of crossed Demand Draft from a commercial
bank in favour of the Principal , BAC, Sabour.
5. The firm should have an annual turnover of at least 5-10 Crores for beverage
line/canning/honey processing separately or altogather and 75-90 Lakhs for maize
based bakery/extruded product lines.
6. Firms should have at least a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the
installation and/or manufacturing of Food Process equipment.
7. Performance Security: The successful bidder will have to submit a Performance
security of equivalent to 5-10% of the Contract /Order value before the issue of award
letter. The validity of performance security valid till 60 days + the period of expiry of
the Warranty/Guarantee period in shape of crossed Demand Draft/Pay order/Fixed
Deposit Receipt/Bank Guarantee from a commercial bank in favour of the Principal ,
BAC, Sabour
8. Liquidated Damages: In case the firm does not complete the supply within the laid
down agreed security delivery period as per contract, liquidated damages will be

charged @ 0.5% per week or part thereof subject to a maximum of 10% of the
contract value. However, the Institute reserves the right to either further extend or
cancel the contract after expiry of delivery date and recover the liquidated damages
from the dues of the firm or by legal means.
9. The equipments to be supplied by the firm should be branded and meet the quality
standard and as per Food Law Norms. Only high quality branded equipments will be
accepted. Low grade equipments will not be acceptable.
10. Firms should have experience in establishing and handling of turnkey project in the
reputed organizations. That firm will be given preference.
11. The firm will be responsible to run the respective line to be set-up for at least one year
(turnkey project) before handed over to the parent organization or on the basis of
mutual agreement.
12. The set-up line and equipment should have a warranty of at least 3 Years and
company should be responsible for wear and tear and malfunctioning under the
specified period.
13. After the warranty period, the firm should also provide AMC for 5 Years.
14. All the equipments will be FOR at BAC, Sabour, Bhagalpur.
15. Tender document may be obtained during working hours from the department of Food
Science and Postharvest Technology, BAC, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar-813210 on
payment of non refundable tender cost of Rs.500.00 (Rs. Five Hundred Only) in the
form of Demand Draft in favour of Principal, BAC, Sabour along with an
application on firm’s letter head.
16. The tender documents may also be downloaded from the website:
www.bausabour.ac.in and may be submitted along with the tender cost of Rs.500.00
only in the form of Demand Draft as mentioned above and should be enclosed with
desired amount of EMD. EMD would be accepted in the shape of DD. Non
submission of EMD will cause rejection of the tender. All the bidders are required to
enclose self-addressed (Rs. 35.00) stamped envelope. In case the date mentioned
above is declared Government Holiday, the date shall automatically be shifted to next
working day. Offers received within the stipulated period only will be considered. The
Institute shall not be responsible for any postal delay. Institute reserves the right to
accept or reject any tender in part or full without assigning any reason thereof.
17. This Institute/College/Principal, BAC, Sabour reserves the right to cancel/ reject in
full or any part of the tender, which generally does not fulfill the condition stipulated
in the tender without assigning any reason.
18. Any action on the part of tenderer/bidder to influence anybody of the Institute/College
will make his/their tender liable for rejection.
19. In case f repetition of same equipments under different heads, all equipments may or
may not be clubbed under one head. This right is reserved by the competent authority
of the Institute/College.

Submission of Bids
The bidder may submit their EOI duly supported with documentary proof in support
of their eligibility to the Nodal Officer, Food Development Centre, Department of Food
Science and Postharvest Technology, BAC, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar-813210 on or
before stipulated date i.e. 22/02/2016. All documents submitted by the bidders must be selfattested and original copies may be required before the Nodal Officer, Food Development
Centre, BAC, Sabour for verification, if required.
Submission of forged document will make the bidders liable for appropriate
panel action as deemed fit by the competent authority.
Evaluation of Bid
The technical bid documents will be evaluated as per details provided in EOI.
Financial bid documents of only those bidders, who will qualify by Competent Authority,
will be opened.
The Competent Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any application
without assignment any reason thereof.
