How to TAG
Sample of a Tag
First gather all of your items you would like to consign.
You may need: Clothing Hangers, Pant/Skirt Hangers, Safety Pins,
Hole Punch, String, Tagging Clothing Gun, etc.
Place Tag with a Safety Pin or Tagging Clothing Gun on the Top Right Side of each
Garment. Make your best judgment to prevent damage to the garment.
Item such as Purse/Handbag –Use a hole punch and Tie the Tag or Safety Pin to the Outside
of the bag.
All Garments should be hung on Well Supportive Hangers-The more attractive they look-the
better the items will SELL! Do not use wire hangers…..clothing does not hang well and
doesn’t sell or will end up on the floor. Email [email protected] if you need
hangers (we will give away until our supply runs out!).
Tagging shoes: Tape to sole or Use a loop on the shoe to tie pricing tag-Keep in mind the
shoppers will want to try the shoe on. Attach tag with the customer in mind and securely so
tag will not “Walk OFF”. NO SHOE BOXES.
Hangers should look like a ? (Question mark) with garment on the hanger.

Jewelry should be sealed in a clear bag (cellophane gift bags look nice with jewelry
hanging on cardstock) with TAG Stapled or taped to bag. Keep Clear of the barcode, do not
place tape, staples, safety pins near barcode (otherwise the barcode cannot be read
accurately, making checkout with customers a NIGHTMARE).

All clothes must be in order For example all Small Shirts together- then all Medium
Shirts. Same with Pants all Size 8 pants together -then all size 10 pants. Clothing will not be
put out unless in order, this will reduce any time getting your items in the proper location. If
you can stay and place your clothing on the sales floor that will be most helpful!

All items must be secure on hangers: Use non-slip hangers, hangers with secure clips for
pants, skirts shirts, dresses, etc. Do not use wire hangers…..clothing does not hang well and
doesn’t sell or will end up on the floor

All pants and skirts MUST be hung with a pant/skirt hanger with clips. This also makes
the clothes look more attractive making the item more likely to sell! $$$ Do not hang pants
folded over the hanger; pants must be hung clamped at the hip with a pant hanger.
Do NOT use Safety Pins to hang pants and skirts.

We cannot guarantee you will get hangers back….if you would like to mark the hangers
with colored tape, ribbon or some other cleaver way, that is fine, but we can’t guarantee you
will get the hangers back. A large quantity of hangers will be available first come first serve.
Pricing

You set your own prices for your items.
·
You may select to discount your items ½ price on Sunday. Items marked for DONATE
will by automatically be marked ½ price on Sunday. If you really do not want to pick up
unsold clothing, mark it to discount 50% on Sunday-Shoppers LOVE a bargain!

Make sure if you want to discount your item the Discount is applied. In no way will the
consignor be able to make price changes once clothes are drop off for the sale….don’t even
ask! We are not trying to be rude….this has been a problem in the past.

Items should be appropriately priced for RESALE-Don’t forget the $5.00 rule!
