• Mobile payment and ticketing should not be
considered an interim step to Open Payments,
rather, it is the other way around
• Barcodes and NFC are simply different ways to
present valid credential when making payment or
providing proof of payment, both can work
• But mobile only will address 40-50% of the
customer base so it is only part of the total
payment solution
