Memorial 51- Katy 41
The Memorial Mustangs played one of their most complete games of the year and lead from start to
finish.
In the 1st quarter 5 different Mustangs scored: Salazar, Blum, Hassett, Berry (3), and Taylor (3), to take a
12 – 8 lead at the end of the first stanza.
The 2nd quarter also saw a nice balanced scoring attacked with points from Alford, Blum, Taylor, and
Lake and at the end of the 1st half the Mustangs were up 25 – 15.
Katy came on strong in the 3rd quarter and cut the 10 point half time lead in half to 37 – 32, then
Graham Taylor got hot and hit two 3 pointers in the 3rd.
Katy cut the lead to 45 – 41 with 1:25 left in the game, but with clutch free throw scoring from Brown,
Berry and Taylor, the Mustangs went on to win 51 – 41!!!
Next up, the Mustangs will host Cinco Ranch on 1/15 at 7:00 PM…only 4 more home games remain!!!
