OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Lubricate draw stud threads and cutter edges before use
1. Match the cup, cutters (A-G) and draw stud (H or I) for the hole size to be punched.
NOTE: Some other brands of cups and cutters may require the use of the
K.O. Punch Adapter (J) (Part #97119).
2. Mark the hole location with cross hairs extending 1” longer than the cup size to be
used and drill a hole approximately 1/32” to 1/16” larger than the draw stud, using one
of the Tri-Point step bits (K & L).
3. Chuck an appropriate ½” cordless drill / driver to the input shaft (M).
4. Check to make sure the ram arm (N) is fully extended. To check, put the drill in reverse and pull the trigger. The ram arm (N) will stop moving when it is fully extended.
5. Screw the draw stud (H or I) fully into the ram arm (N). Place the cup on the draw stud
with the open end of the cup facing the material to be punched. Insert the draw stud
through the hole drilled in step 2. Thread the cutter onto the draw stud (with the cutting
edges facing the material to be cut) until it is snug against the material. Match the
alignment marks on the cup to the cross hairs.
6. With the drill in forward high gear, begin punching. The hole size, battery strength,
voltage, and the type of material being punched determine the punching speed and
capacity. If the punch binds, put the drill into low gear and continue punching.
7. When you feel and hear the second or third (depending on the number of cutter tips)
distinct “pop,” you are done. Put the drill in reverse and back the cutter out until the
ram arm (N) stops moving and is fully extended.
RectorSeal® warrants K.O. Puncher™ against defects in
