The purpose of the classifier is to provide additional information about nouns and verbs such as: location, kind of action, size, shape and manner. ASL has many classifier handshapes to represent specific categories or class of objects. Unit 6 ASL Class Review What is one-person role shift? One-person role shift allows the narrator to show how a character behaves. The narrator becomes the character, taking on his/her actions, manners and feelings. Unit 6 ASL Class Review What is two-person role shift? Two-person role shift allows the narrator to show interactions between two characters in a story.
