Advertisement for the Post of JRF/SRF in DBT sponsored project
(convert to PhD)
Applications are invited for one (1) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DBT sponsored,
purely time-bound research project, entitled: “Novel delivery system for combinational
therapy for breast cancer and cancer stem cells”, undertaken in the Department of
Biomedical Engineering of the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.
Duration of project: Three years. The appointment will be on temporary basis for a period
of one year. Based on performance in the first year, the appointment could be extended till
the end of project.
Nature of work: Biopolymer based delivery system for co-delivery of mangnetic particles
and combinational drugs, Targeted delivery system, Hyperthermia treatment, cell and stem
cells culture and different biochemical assays. For technical information of the project, the

Essential Qualification(s): M. Tech (materials science, chemical, biotechnology,
nanoscience and technology, pharmaceutical chemistry) with 60% marks or equivalent
CGPA, M. Sc in Chemistry with NET/Gate qualified. Relevant research experience would be
preferred. Candidate should have strong interest to pursue PhD.
Emoluments: Rs. 25,000-36,000 pm depending on the experience






No travelling or any other allowances is admissible for attending the interview.
Preference will be given to the candidates whoever having CSIR/UGC/NET, prior
experience similar research field, basic knowledge of polymers chemistry or
experience.
Development of nanodelivery system (polymers and inorganic), cells culture and
related cell based assay, experience on the nanoformulation based cancer therapeutics
and the in vitro/in vivo therapeutic efficacy study on various cancer cells and cancer
stem cells is preferable.
