Series application The Schindler 3300 Solar has taken its inspiration from the Solar Impulse. Our aim is to supply the elevator with as much solar power as possible - so it is all about saving, replacing and storage of clean energy. All of this in a series product with the same performance, reliability and comfort. Schindler 3300 Solar 5 Plug in to a clean energy future The Schindler 3300 Solar is all about the benefits of self-supplying energy management. The elevator can be operated by a grid and photovoltaic-panels that contribute to an autonomously operated building. Plug-and-go integration 220 / 230 V single phase 1600 W input power MC4 PV-panel connection The solar elevator can be plugged in just like any kitchen appliance and functions with a standard PV-panel interface. A three-phase building interface is not required. It is engineered for quick integration into the building power system. Pure, clean energy Maximum solar energy supply up to 1.6 kWp solar input up to 44% less environmental impact* Whenever there is sunlight the batteries will be charged with solar energy. Different charging modes make it possible to respond to traffic-flow requirements of the building and extra grid charging in low traffic periods. Global Warming Potential according to IPCC 2007 / GWP 100a in CO2e. 6 Schindler 3300 Solar The Solar energy supply is kept at a maximum by the smart Hybrid Power Manager, a new component that controls energy supply and is able to store energy for a long-lasting clean operation. This assures continuous operation and CO2 savings. Non-stop availability 400 trips 40 h standby 6.9 kWh capacity Continuous elevator operation, even if there is a power failure. The accumulators have outstanding capacity and long-life performance. The elevator is based on the proven Schindler 3300 platform for reliability. No wasted power Up to 25% energy recuperation into the Hybrid Power Manager Energy that is not needed to operate the elevator will be used to charge the accumulators. Less energy from the grid also means less emissions. Schindler 3300 Solar 7 Sustainable operation with proven technology The Schindler 3300 Solar is designed and planned to be operated as conveniently as the standard Schindler 3300 model. The dual power supply is enabled by the Hybrid Power Manager (HPM) and is easy to install and connect. Reliable technology The Schindler 3300 Solar uses the same technology as the regular Schindler 3300 elevator. It comes equipped with all the plus points – the lubrication-free gearless drive, the innovative traction media and design varieties. Hybrid Power The Hybrid Power Manager is the new operative core of the Schindler 3300 Solar. It controls the flow of energy and stores the power that operates the elevator. Sun charges battery Whenever sunlight is available the accumulators will be exclusively* charged via this power source. This mode is consistant with the aim to keep the accumulators continuously charged. Operation Mode 1 Sun charges battery Electricity grid Supply by accumulators The elevator will always be supplied by the accumulators, there is no direct connection either to the grid or the PV-panels. In case the capacity reaches a certain level, re-charging will start via the grid until the accumulators are fully charged. As the system is smart grid ready, grid charging can also be pre-set at times with low cost energy tariffs. Operation Mode 2 Battery supply Regenerative supply Energy gets recuperated into the accumulators whenever it is not being used to operate the elevators e.g. in case of light loads traveling downwards. Operation Mode 3 Regenerative supply Electricity grid Electricity grid supply The accumulators will also be charged from the electrical building grid. In case of low capacity and depending on the settings the charging will be activated. Once it is started it will continue until the accumulators are fully charged.
