BARK IN THE PARK AT SHAW PARK SATURDAY, JUNE 17, 2017 GUIDELINES FOR DOG OWNERS Thanks for being part of the Winnipeg Goldeyes Bark in the Park event! To participate, you must agree to comply with these guidelines. Please carefully read the guidelines for the event below: DOG REGISTRATION BEGINS 4:30 PM REGISTRATION TENT LOCATED AT LEFT FIELD NORTH GATE GATES OPEN 5:00 PM - GAME STARTS 6:00 PM 1. All fans attending the Bark in the Park event must sign and submit a waiver at the Registration Tent located outside the Left Field North Gate. Dog Registration begins at 4:30 pm. Gates open at 5:00pm. You will be fully responsible for your dog and any injuries or property damage. 2. To participate, a dog must be at least six months old, in good health and fully house trained. 3. All Dogs MUST remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. No retractable leashes please. If you do have a retractable leash, please keep it locked in a short position – no longer than 6 feet. 4. Limit one dog per adult guest 18 years of age or older. 5. All fans with dogs must purchase a special Bark in the Park ticket to gain admission to Shaw Park, which must be presented at the Registration table outside the Left Field North Gate on the night of the game. Each ticket includes admission for one Adult and one Dog. Additional single Human tickets may be purchased. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog. 6. Dogs should be taken to the designated Potty area to relieve themselves. Bags and trash cans will be available there to pick up any mess. Please be courteous and responsible – please pick up after your dog. 7. You must enter the ballpark through the Left Field North Gate. Dogs are permitted in the designated Bark in the Park Dog sections (A, B, C, D, E & F) area only. You may temporarily leave your dog at the Winnipeg Pet Show table located on the concourse if you need to go elsewhere in the ballpark, i.e. concessions etc. 8. Your dog must have current required vaccinations (Rabies, DHLP, Parvo etc.) to attend the game. 9. This event is intended for FRIENDLY dogs. Use good judgment regarding the temperament of your dog. Do not bring your dog if he/she is unreliable in crowds, with other dogs and/or with strangers. If your dog is not friendly or is having a bad day, please take your dog home. We want the event to be enjoyable for everyone and reserve the right to ask aggressive or unfriendly dogs to leave. 10. Do not bring a dog to the event that has bitten and/or is aggressive, excessively vocal or fearful. 11. Please do not bring a dog that is ill, behaving abnormally or in heat. Please remove your dog from the premises if he/she becomes ill. 12. There will be bowls of water available for your dogs but we suggest also bringing your own bowls if possible, and perhaps also comfortable bedding, blankets or mats to place on your dog’s seat or the ground. WINNIPEG GOLDEYES 2017 BARK IN THE PARK AT SHAW PARK (the “Event”) ATTENDANCE WAIVER AND RELEASE READ CAREFULLY – THIS CONTAINS A WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY I am over the age of 18 and I have voluntarily registered to participate in the Event, which will include my attendance with my dog along with other participants and their dogs. I have carefully read the Guidelines for the Event and I agree to comply with them as they apply to my dog, my guest(s) (if any) and me. In consideration for my being permitted to participate in the Event at Shaw Park (the “Location”): 1. Assumption of Risk. I understand the nature of the Event and I and my dog are able to safely participate in the Event. I am familiar with the risk of serious injury and death which any participant in this event must assume, and I believe that I am physically, emotionally and mentally able to participate in this event, and that my dog is fit for this event, and I understand that all applicable rules for participation must be followed and that at all times the sole responsibility for personal safety remains with me, and I will immediately remove myself from participation, and notify the nearest official, if at any time I sense or observe any unusual hazard or unsafe condition or if I feel that I have experienced any deterioration in my physical, emotional or mental fitness for continued participation in the event. My dog is in good health and has current vaccinations. I am fully aware of the risks of unexpected injuries, damage or other loss that may result from my attendance at and participation in the Event, including without limitation, the risk of dog bites. I freely assume all such risks including the risk of any negligence by other participants, the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club Inc., any of the organizers or volunteers of the Event or any of the other Released Parties as defined below. 2. Liability Release and Promise Not to Sue. I hereby release from liability, waive any and all claims against, forever discharge and hold harmless the Winnipeg Goldeyes Baseball Club Inc., the owner(s) and lessor(s) of the Location, Winnipeg Humane Society, Showtime Productions Inc. and each of their respective affiliated companies or other organizations, volunteers associated with the Event, the organizers and sponsors of the Event and each of their respective officials, owners, partners, directors, officers, trustees, members, employees, representatives and agents, and the other participants in the Event (collectively, the “Released Parties”) of and from any and all claims for injuries, disability, death, property damage, attorneys’ fees or other loss of any kind or nature that may be sustained in connection with my and/or my dog’s attendance at or participation in the Event or any activity surrounding the Event even if based on the negligence of any Released Party. I further agree not to sue any of the Released Parties for any such claim. 3. Indemnification. I understand that my dog will not be permitted to enter the Location until and unless I agree to abide by all Event Rules and Guidelines and accept full responsibility for my dog. I, therefore, shall be fully responsible for any and all injuries and/or property damage caused by my dog, my guest(s) (if any) or by me and I shall indemnify, defend and hold the Released Parties harmless for any such injuries and/or property damage. 4. Medical Treatment. In connection with any injury I or my dog may sustain or other medical condition I or my dog may experience during my participation in or attendance at the Event, I authorize any emergency first aid, medication, medical treatment or surgery deemed necessary by the attending medical/first aid personnel if I am not able to act on my own behalf. I further authorize the attending medical/first aid personnel to execute on my behalf any permission forms, consents or other appropriate documents relating to medical attention for me or my dog and to act on my behalf if I am not able or immediately available to do so. 5. Publicity Release. I authorize the Winnipeg Goldeyes and/or the other parties involved with the Event to produce, reproduce, broadcast and otherwise use photographs, films, videotapes, recordings, digital images and other depictions, likenesses or images of me and my dog, my name and/or my voice, in any media form, worldwide, in connection with my attendance at or participation in the Event without compensation, for an unlimited duration and I release each such party from any and all liability in connection with it doing so. I, intending to be legally bound, have carefully read and voluntarily agree to this Waiver and Release and I understand its full legal effect. This year’s game is taking things to the next level with expanded ballpark seating plus an official Guinness World Records™ title attempt! The current Guinness World Records title for Most Dogs Attending a Sporting Event is 1,122 dogs, achieved by the Chicago White Sox in 2016. Important Information about the Guinness World Records™ attempt 1. Bark in the Park gates will open at 4:30pm on June 17. Fans who wish to participate in the “Pooch Parade” should make their way to the on-field access in Section A by 5:30pm. THE POOCH PARADE WILL BEGIN AT 5:45pm SHARP. 2. Please ensure your dog's ticket is scanned as you enter the ballpark at LEFT FIELD NORTH GATE so your dog counts towards our Guinness World Records attempt. 3. In order to achieve this record, all dogs must be in their seats for a designated ten minutes, so please be seated in you section no later than the end of the 2nd inning as the ten minute clock will start at the top of the 3rd inning. Any dogs that leave the seating area during this designated ten minutes will count AGAINST our efforts to achieve this record. 4. A countdown clock will be featured on the scoreboard. 5. During the ten minute countdown, we will be taking a "group photo." If we are able to achieve the record, we will send you a digital copy of this photo commemorating your part in this historic event!
