KRASH PROJECT II Use your mind to protect your life PARTICIPANTS MATH 8AB • David Vera • Juan José Van de Venter • Enzo Rossi • Mateo Rivera MATH 10A ENGLISH • Samuel Gómez • Mateus Barbosa • David Marín Mejía • Miguel Blanco • • • • • • • • • • Sebastián Medina Santiago Zapata Martín Contento María del Mar Pérez Juan José Castillejo Manuel Blair Yara El-Zein Diego Maya Samuel Zuleta Marcos Bhardewaj OUR IDEAS How our mindset affects the decisions we make in terms of our behavior on the roads? • 10A: We wanted to make ourselves think that we communicate with others on the roads, so our actions affect the message we give. Then, we decided to show our city how responsible we are for our safety. • 8AB: We imagined what every member of The New School Community must regard as responsible for road safety during our school day. OUR INITIATIVES – SOCIAL MEDIA • Twitter: @krashtns • Facebook: Krash Campaign TNS • Instagram: @krash_tns OUR INITIATIVES BLOG • KRASH Movement has been created to show the experiences of the participants on this journey. • Follow it up http://krashtns.blogspot.com.co OUR INITIATIVES 8TH GRADE: TIPS FOR STAYING ALIVE • Brainstorming sessions to look for the best ways to teach our community which habits and thoughts are effective to keep us safe. • Under construction: mini courses “Tips for Staying Alive”, whose target public is our school’s community, and whose aim is to show people the risks around making specific decisions about mobility. OUR INITIATIVES – HOARDINGS Short messages, to be displayed on strategic places on the city. The plan is to get an important number of viewers on the roads OUR INITIATIVES – ROAD SECURITY MINI SHOW • Some sort of showroom during the school’s Brain Work Fair, to take advantage of a school’s event where all the community is invited, and show with different performances how we make things happen, especially when we are moving and our mind is away. • This event is upcoming (May 24th), so we will let you know how it goes :) ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE • This was a very enriching experience that made us think less on just ourselves, and expand our sense of belonging to affect positively all the people around. • It was quite interesting to think on several strategies to make roads safer for everyone, and bunches of ideas flew away, so we rediscovered our imagination and creativity. ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE • It was amazing to create more proactive ways to get others and give a nice message. That allowed us to connect with others’ interests, needs and possible ways to communicate. • Our own way to react on the road has changed as well. We became more responsible and consistent with our actions and words. We realized that our habits have an effect on others decisions. THANK YOU!
