AMENITY CLEANING
We are seeking applications for the cleaning of the
Holiday Park ablution buildings.
This 7 day a week position requires reliability,
experience and hardwork and is only suited to
persons with a strong work ethic, initiative,
attention to detail and are self-motivated.

Scope and General Purpose of the Position:
The Park Amenity Cleaner is responsible for the overall cleanliness and
presentation of the Park amenity blocks and undertakes daily and periodical
cleaning duties.
Facilities include 2 amenity blocks each containing a
laundry, men’s & women’s shower, bath, toilet & handbasin facilities,
disabled bathroom and storeroom.
Due to seasonality of the tourist
industry, the 2nd amenity block opens for approximately 7-8 weeks each
year.
The appointed Cleaners take responsibility for maintaining the
highest standards of hygiene and appearance expected for a high profile
holiday destination.
Essential Skills:

Knowledge and experience of commercial cleaning practices

Current Drivers Licence.

Knowledge of Emergency Procedures & OHSW policies.

Chemical handling experience

Excellent attention to detail.
DAILY Duties and Responsibilities
LAUNDRY

Wash down washing machines, troughs and benches

Sweep & mop out

Empty & re-line bin

Sweep (& hose out if necessary) floor mats

Clean dryer lint filter (every second day)
BATHROOM

Ensure safety wear and protective eye wear is used

Mix chemical supplies using blend station according to specifications
and dilution rates

Sweep out fully, incl. shower cubicles of excess sand/hair/seaweed

Shake out/sweep walk on mats

Scrub to remove toilet bowls to remove rust marks around bowl area

Clean, dry, polish handbasins and tapware

Polish mirrors (using windex spray blend)

Refill handwash dispenser (using liquid soap)

Mop out entire floor area

Refill mop bucket and toilet brush bucket with fresh water and
chemical

Refill chemical bottles

Refill toilet paper dispensers

Ensure wall area underneath hand dryers is clean

Remove any lost property and return of Park Office

Sweep outdoor paving area

Clean disabled bathroom using above processes

Clean & polish outside sink area

Report any maintenance/damage to Park Office
DAILY PINK CLEAN PROCESS (SHOWERS)

Using spray bottle of required chemical

Spray each cubicle – siliconed corners, taps, soap holders, shower
rose and bottom 2 rows of tiles

Using clean rags wipe off to dry

Alternate starting end daily
DAILY URINAL PROCESS

Using chemical and white scrubber brush, scrub the stainless steel lip
and tile area to the first foot of tiled area – paying particular
attention to corners.

Run chemical along rust mark of urinal wall.
WEEKLY Duties and Responsibilities
BATHROOM

Wipe over walls, doors and window sills

Remove any visible rubbish from surrounding garden beds

Clean under toilet bowl rims allowing to run over whole bowl. Hose
out
WEEKLY SCRUB PROCESS (SHOWERS)

Using crème cleanser (spare amount) on doodle bug pad, scrub
bottom 2 rows of tiles

Using brown doddle bug pad and chemical mixture, scrub full wall
and floor area

Using hot water and pressure gun, hose out cubicle

Mop out

Alternate starting end weekly
WEEKLY URINAL PROCESS

Extend weekly shower scrub process to tiled area above urinal

In the event of rust build up on urinal wall, use small amount of
crème cleanser on doodle bug pad and gently scrub SIDEWAYS only.
AS NEEDED

Clean windows (approx. 3 weeks)

Changeover any full sanitary bins and replace as necessary

Empty bins and reline

Remove spider webs, inside, outside, ceilings and rafters (do as first
task)

Ensure all sponges and plugs are supplied

Wash and rinse walk-on mats (approx monthy)

Clean all ledges and tops of partitions (approx every 4 days)

Remove cigarette buts from tray (approx weekly)

Remove rubbish from garden beds (approx weekly)

Sweep pathways around building (approx weekly)

Open & close amenity blocks as necessary (additional cleaning and
preparation is involved)

Cleaning Schedule (subject to change):
Horseshoe Bay Block:
Daily (365 days)
Crockery Bay Block:
Daily 15 Dec – 31 January, Easter LWE, March
LWE, Oct LWE, and other days during school
holiday periods & shoulder seasons subject to
demand.
Variations:
Due to the varying nature of the tourism industry, fluctuations in demand at
short notice and scheduled maintenance programs, the above schedule will
change.
As much notice as possible will be given.
While duties are
expected to commence daily at 12noon some variation to this will occur
when two amenity buildings are being cleaned and/or additional and
periodical duties are performed.
An allowance will be made in the negotiated remuneration for unexpected
cleaning duties (ie painting clean-up, maintenance & renovations, paper and
chemical handling, storeroom preparation etc).
