TEAM LEADING
This one day programme is designed as an introduction to develop and build confidence in the
skills of leading and motivating a team safely.
It will enable participants to more confidently lead their teams to meet the targets and standards
they are responsible for.
Target Group
Practicing or potential team leaders who are hands on with the job as well as being responsible for
managing the day to day performance of a team.
Style
The programme is delivered in a very interactive style. This provides the participants’ opportunity
to discuss their experiences, raise concerns and share ideas, and also to practice the key skills
involved in team leading.
Aims
1. Plan and prepare for a smooth running production day that achieves targets and objectives
2. Manage time to make people and machinery most efficient
3. Use the best style of leadership for individual people, and the team
4. Motivate your team, and deal with any issues arising in the team assertively
5. Be aware of what a hazard is at work, when to report it and how to reduce the risk of it causing
an accident
